raves posted Aug 09, 2008 08:50AM GMTAll Time Low has been my favorite band for the past four years when they were first starting out, and not even slightly known. :)
And Forever The Sickest Kids, my lovely Dallas boys. :) -
raves Aug 09, 2008 10:12PM GMTi dont get why ppl cant like bands when they first come out they only like them when they become sell outs
-
raves Aug 09, 2008 10:28PM GMTYeah, I don't either, but some start out as underground bands, and can't really get out there. But All Time Low did a good job of getting out there, and they aren't sellouts, and they're still my favorite band to this day.
-
raves Aug 09, 2008 10:29PM GMTthere not sell outs yet i mean fall out boy nd my chem were like them and look at them now!
-
raves Aug 09, 2008 10:34PM GMTYeah, I see your point. But I honestly don't think that All Time Low will sellout, I know just about everything there is to know about them, and I've seen their interviews and read them, the last thing they ever want to do is sellout, their all about their fans, they've got the right attitude and know the difference in how to get people to actually like them.
And here is a quote from Alex Gaskarth himself from one of his blogs, that I think can contest that they're not going to sellout.
"Lovers: I will have your backs until the sun no longer shines, whether you like my band or not... If you think productively, I will support you one-hundred percent. This no longer involves me, or any one band - this is a movement within the entire music community: Stop hating on each-other. Music is about togetherness. You can contest it all you want, but you will be wrong."
All they are about is their fans, and are in the music industry to live out their dreams. -
raves Aug 09, 2008 10:36PM GMTim glad to hear that cuz all we need is more sell outs.(sarcasticly)...lol
-
raves Aug 09, 2008 10:41PM GMTHah, yeah I'm tired of sellout bands. They let the fame get to their heads too much, and try to find new ways to get people to like them, even so much to change their style and that's what I hate.
Which is why I now only listen to music like
All Time Low.
Forever The Sickest Kids.
There For Tomorrow.
The Bigger Lights.
Hit The Lights.
The Maine.
The Cab.
Mayday Parade.
Madina Lake.
Cobra Starship.
We The Kings.
My American Heart.
This Providence.
Every Avenue.
You know, bands that are out there...but not enough that everyone knows about them. I like finding new music that no one really knows about. Mainstream music gets too overplayed and I hate that. -
raves Aug 09, 2008 10:42PM GMTtheyre all really good but honestly me and my buddy erin who gets me into all my music think that we the kings are gonna sell out
-
raves Aug 09, 2008 10:45PM GMTReally, you know I've actually heard that from a few others.
I guess we'll have to see, they aren't huge-huge yet.
I saw them at Warped Tour on July 3rd and they were the sweetest boys ever, just talking to us fans the rest of the time during the meet and greet, they were one of the last bands to play.
But who knows. Any band is capable of selling out. I think it just depends on fan-base honestly. It's the fans that get bands bigger, and get a cocky head. -
raves Aug 09, 2008 10:47PM GMTOMFG!!! i wanna go to warped tour so bad but my mom wont let me she says "sam its just another excuse for you and your friends to get high and kick the shit outa each other!"
-
raves Aug 09, 2008 10:50PM GMTAw, Warped Tour was so much fun, it was my first year going, a lot of good bands on this years tour...I only wish that a few that are now on the tour were on my Dallas date like All Time Low...but eh here's my little review on my Warped Tour experience.
The first band I saw was Mayday Parade, and they were absolutely incredible. Then I caught the last song of Anberlin. And quickly made my way to the Smartpunk stage to wait for The Maine, my main reason for attending, they were not a disappointment, they did phenomenal. Between song songs, fans through random articles of clothing on stage which was pretty humorous. Eventually I went and got their cd Can't Stop Won't Stop, meeting Kennedy...and at 3:30 I was in line at the Glamour Kills tent to meet and get pictures and autographs from them. Then I went and saw Cobra Starship. Later on I headed back to the Smartpunk stage to see hometown Forever The Sickest Kids, let me just say I nearly died in that pit, they killed, best performance of the day, after them, The Secret Handshake played a few songs, followed up on they Hurley stage by a poorly Katy Perry who tried to hard to get the crowd to like her. Next I made way to see Paramore, who did great, but I cut short to go wait and see We The Kings, great way to end the tour, I definitely had a great day. :) -
raves Aug 09, 2008 10:53PM GMTim so jelous
-
raves Aug 09, 2008 10:55PM GMTYou should definitely try and convince your mom to let you go.
Yeah everyone gets drunk and high at Warped Tour, that's obvious. I mean I didn't but $50 to go and see like a shit load of bands, that's pretty amazing. I couldn't pass up the deal at all. -
raves Aug 10, 2008 08:37PM GMTi know i was gonna pay for myself to go too
