The Back of House of Blues........

We drove to the back of the House of Blues, tears already running down my cheeks. Kevin was helping Big Rob pack up the bus, Joe was sitting on the ground, back against the bus, his head hidden in his knees. I tried to find Nick. But was unsuccessful. Big Rob moved out the way and then I saw him.
Sitting on a box, cradling his face, not moving.
His brilliantly shaped curls were shining bright in the sunshine.
Right when my Mom put the car in park, I flung the door open and ran to where Nick was, yelling his name the whole time. His head snapped up, tears falling. He smiled a little bit, stood up, opened his arms wide to catch me. I flew into his arms, hearing his jagged gasps. My crying was as hard as my grip was on his shirt. I moved away from his embrace to kiss his tears away. His trembling lips made their way to mine and his kiss was slow, but demanding.
Then he started shaking he was crying so hard.
He suddenly put me down, trembling, and he looked at the ground, his curls shaking in the sun, and covered his face, glistening water falling from his face, his hands tightened in fists. I made my way around his waist to hug him. He did the same, his arms locked around me, then pushed me against him.
This was the moment I didn’t want to do. I had to put the ring back.
I slipped it off my finger.
Then gently put it in his pocket.
I flinched at his face of horror if he ever found it. But a trembling voice appeared in my ear. “This… is… t…the…har…hardest…thing…e…ever.” He said between sobs. “Y…you… don’t…e…even…kn…know.” I replied as I squeezed him as hard as I could. He held his breath as he tried to slow his tears, but failed, it seemed to come down harder than ever. I heard a large cry from behind me.
Madeline.
I knew it was going to be hard for her because they only went out last night.
But I needed to be with Nick.
I receded from his chest to see his face. His eyes were pink, nose red, and his body was shaking with every breath he took. He looked at me, smirked, and then laughed. “W…what’s… so…so…funny?” I asked. “Your makeup is all smuded.” He said as the last tear fell from his face. Both hands cradled my face as his thunbs wiped away the final remains of a terrible tear shedding. “Kiss me.” I whispered. His hands brought my face to his as we kissed each other like we were never ever going to see each other forever.
But that’s its what it felt like.
It started off gentle, emerged into forceful, then demanding. My back bend backwards as he over looked me, his lips crushing mine.
His lips departed way to soon.
And I wasn’t done.
His hands were around me locked like they were welded there. I shook my head, and he replied, “What?” “You stopped kissing me to soon.” I said as I leaned to kiss him some more. I think he smiled again, so I did it too. Then I managed to get my tongue to touch his lip.
Then he lifted me up like the night before. This time he lifted me up so I was looking down at him. I left his lips and stared at him and said, “Did I ever tell you how much I love you?” cocking my head. “Once or twice.” He said as he smiled even harder.
And I knew exactly why.
He thought he sussccesfully gave me the ring, but he didn’t know that its not on me anymore.
He slowly slid my body down until I was eyelevel with him.
