Who's voice was it?
The Broken Moment……….
“Alright, boys, time to go.” He said. Nick’s lips froze, then impishly left me craving more. His hand locked with mine. Big Rob looked down at me and smiled. Then he wiped the remaining tears from my eyes. “He’s not going to stop talking about you.” He said to me.
Nick squeezed my hand.
I couldn’t help but smile at him and Big Rob.
I walked to the shimmering bus, still holding onto Nick’s hand. I walked behind everyone slowly, dreading the moment that was brought to me by every passing second.
Then the doors opened up.
Mrs. Denise walked out, tissues in one hand, the other locked onto Mr. Kevin.
She walked straight up to me, and said, “Meghan, Nick loves you very much, don’t forget that. And he will miss you terribley. I am sorry about the other night. I haven’t dealt with that much love before. Will you forgive me?”
She sniffed.
“Of course Mrs. Denise.” I said as she grabbed me and hugged me. I whispered in her ear, “Thanks for giving me the chance to date your son.” Then she whispered back, “Your truly welcome. He really loves you, I think he will not be able to stop talking about you the whole trip.” She released me from her grip, put a hand on my shoulder and said, “Call us when you can.” And I replied, “Of course.” And nodded. Next was Kevin. He nodded, smiled, kissed me on the cheek, and hugged me. Next was Frankie. I bent down to his level and said, “Take care of your brothers for me ok?” “Sure thing!” was his reply. I laughed and ruffled his hair.
Next was no one.
Joe was to busy making out with Madeline.
Then a tear hit the ground.
I saw Joe take a hand away from Madeline’s face to wipe his eye.
I walked up to him and put my arms around both Madeline and Joe. Joe squeezed my back playfully as to say ‘thanks’. Then the tears finally stopped and Joe told Madeline, “See ya, girlfriend.” And winked at her. She giggled. Then he hugged her waist so tight. She stretched up to kiss him one last time. Then they held hands to walk to the tour bus together. Frankie was on first. Then the Jonas parents, then Kevin, Joe was on, slowly letting go of Madeline’s fingers. Then she waved. Last was Nick.
And it was like he refused to go. His feet shuffled slowly to the steps, dragging me along. He finally made it to the steps and said, “Don’t forget to call me.” “Don’t forget to think of me.” I replied. “That’s going to be hard.” He said. “Exactly.” He said as he look pleadingly into my eyes, then mesmerized me with another kiss. Then he climbed onto that bus, looked back, then dissappeard.
The bus roared to life.
Then drove away.
Madeline ran after it as fast as she could to catch up to Joe. I could see a hand pressed whitely against the black window. Madeline was screaming Joe’s name the whole time. Then she was out of breath and couldn’t run anymore.
She fell to her knees and was crying hard, her chest heaving up and down.
I ran after her and fell down to her, and took her into my arms. Then it happened.
An ear splitting screech filled my ears and made me flinch. My head snapped up at the noise.
But couldn’t find anything.
Then ear-peircing noise stopped.
So did the bus.
***oooohhhh... suspensful isn't it...
