It ain't over till it's over and it ain;t over yet.....
I would just like to thank all my buds who wished me luck for today. Even if I didn't get your posts until just now I know you were wishing me well and I do believe it helps. It was a nightmare of a day. We were bumped by our assigned judge due to an emergency. Thought we would have to go back and then they gave us another one. I actually like him a lot. No nonsense but fair and great blue eyes. Because we started late then after lunch he had to hear a small supposed to be half hour case which ran a hour and a half. during which time my friend dropped what she was doing which was preparing for a board meeting tonight to come and testify about the relationship. I just love her what a pal. I did great I was told on my testimony. I was a little nervous to start but mostly relaxed because I was telling the truth and was really good at looking the judge in those bluuuuue eyes. The other lawyer is a putz and asked the ex the same questions that my lawyer asked me and it worked in my favor even though my ex had a different slant on the exact same answers I had give. I could tell the judge was annoyed at the other side. We still have to cross examine my ex and hear testimony about the value of the house. The thing is the domestic partnership laws are not specific on some things although mostly it's treated like a common law marriage but with out the perks as in attn fees and stuff. My guys feel that it's pretty close to a shoe in but we still have to wait and see what the judge finally decides. so that's where I'm at as of now and it's back to Oregon City tomorrow at the crack of dawn (well at least for me)
Again I just so love you all and am so grateful for your caring support. I will get back to you tomorrow with the outcome.

raves +1 Oct 04, 2008 04:35AM GMTthe trial is actually over. There wasn't a jury and he is checking all the facts and cases used and laws on the books and stuff. they said he was a pretty quick in his decisions so it wouldn't be too long. And his eyes were just so deep. not dark blue but the kind that when you look into them they just go deep down. I instantly felt his honesty and sense of fairness. Lucky to get someone lke that. Thanks for prayers and support. I am so touched by my soda family. and so grateful.

As an attorney I know how frustrating the legal system can be, but when you're on solid ground and have patience the system usually (definitely not always!) manages to get it right. Anything I can do to help I am happy to do .
And of course, blue eyes are essential for wisdom LOL
Hang in there, my friend. -

I think you're no doubt over the most stress ~ its all the "stuff" leading up to bringing issues to its finality that makes a person "crazy".
I'm sure glad you don't leave us hangin' here girl. We will be thinking about you. LOL -
