Sure are. Look at prohibition. Didn't work but they tried. Look at the pot laws, not working but they still lock you up for it, even for medicinal use. They are always making laws that are so different from the constitution.
I see answers below about troop support, I don't see how that is on point with this question. Of course we all support our troops. Even tho a lot of us don't believe they should be there, does not change the fact that we will support them as long as they are. Doesn't mean we have to support phone taps and torture tho.

Who do you think our Troops are frighting for NOT ONLY OUR COUNTRY BUT THE GOV. THAT KEEPS THIS COUNTRY SAFE. SORRY ABOUT THE CURSE. I WAS IN THE ARMY AND WE HAD TO DO WHAT OUR GOV. EXPECTED OF US AND WHAT WE NEEDED TO DO , SOMETIMES WE DID THINGS WE DID NOT WANT TO DO BUT TO KEEP OUR COUNTRY SAFE WE HAD TO DO THEM , YES WE HAVE TO DO WAHT OUR GOV. WANTS AS FAR KEEPING OUR COUNTRY SAFE , THAT ALSO GOES FOR MANY OTHER COUNTRIES NOT JUST US, THAT'S WHY I GET UPSET WHEN PEOPLE SAY DOES OUR GOV. CONTROL US. IF MORE AMERICAN'S GOT OUT THERE AND MADE CHANGES INSTEAD OF SITTING AT HOME WANTING ONE LEADER TO GIVE US ALL THESE ANSWERS TO ALL THESE QUESTIONS THEN WE GET WHAT WE ARE ASKING FOR THAT'S WHY WE VOTE. UNTIL YOU OR I ARE IN THAT WHITE HOUSE AND DEAL WITH THE UN AND DEAL CONGRESS We have no right to ask that question DOES OUR GOV. CONTROL US.....
