Sorry, I've been avoiding this place.

I had to take a break for a few days, mainly to keep my sanity. I'm getting too involved in this place, it actually affects my mood and attitude in real life. I think a big part of my problem has been those religious polls, so I might try to avoid those for a while and stick to light hearted topics...at least until I can develop a healthy balance of internet and reality.

It's rather hard because I like to talk about religion and politics, but some of the hate emails and responses I've gotten make me want to leave Sodahead and never come back. It's just my personal opinion, yet I still get attacked for having one. At first I really enjoyed this place because it allowed me to express myself, but now it's just about insults and downraves. And when it starts to affect you in real life, you know it's a problem. Some would say to stick with groups if you don't want to deal with contrary opinions...but that's not why I come here. I like to hear the other side of things, I like to debate; what I don't like is the pure hatred behind some of the comments.

Argh, so that's that. I'll try to keep things light for a while and see how that goes...
