Very Humbling Experience
This morning one of the brave Marines killed in action recently is being laid to rest near here. The funeral procession went through town on their way to his final resting place. He was young and the turnout was tremendous. Men, women, and children lining the street with flags. All standing quietly watching the family and friends of this brave young man inch past. Everything in town stopped while his train of cars, trucks, and motorcycles moved slowly. I feel so badly for his family and girlfriend because I understand what they're going through. Though I did not know him, I had tears streaming as I watched them pass by. They're young and think they're invincible - that'll never happen to me mentality. Yet we watched one of our own come home in a box. I kept thinking of my nephew still serving in Iraq and pray we don't have to do this for anymore of our young men and women.

God bless this young soldiers soul and our prayers are with his family. -
I so can relate
I have 4 nephews serving right now and it feels like I am on pins and needles every time the news shows casualties in Iraq or Afghanistan. I cringe when answering a phone call with one of their area codes. I have had dreams of them I cannot comprehend. How I wish this war would end.
Girl, I am blessed with you and our common bonds. I have gained strength from you when I needed it. I see you on the polls and you bring a much needed smile or giggle to my day. Thank you for being here and all you contribute. Luv you, Lucy -
Awe thank you Lucy. You just made me smile. I totally understand the common bond feeling. It's a good thing to know someone understands without having to explain too much. Hope you have a great weekend! Luv you, Boilermc

Thank you sir. I have seen it and I agree that it is amazing and definitely touched me. I can be a total package of dynamite (as a close friend says lol) sometimes but have a soft side too.
