WTF.
Why do some of you fail?
Is it so wrong that I prefer Jon Walker over Chris Brown and Joe Jonas?!
WHY THE FUCK DID I GET THREE DOWN RAVES FOR THAT?!
I thought you couldn't down rave anymore unless it was for a good reason...guess not. =/
If you did down rave me for that, or if you would have, please don't talk to me. Or else explain yourself. Because having my own preferences does not deserve down raving!
He sings, plays bass, AND he has killer dance moves. Maybe not as good as Chris Brown, but I mean he can break dance kids. :)
So yeah, I'm kind of pissed off about that and I needed to vent.

FALL OUT BOY SHOW
Wow. I forgot how awesome they are. :)
So...this is a long story. If you want the short version, go to the bottom of this.
I, along with my best friend Paige (crazeepaige), volunteered to help out at the Nike+ 10K. We checked in and ended up getting to help out in the VIP Lounge, which was right on the field. So we go down there at around four, and the stage was on the field too. After about half an hour of sitting around, Fall Out Boy comes out to do a soundcheck.
They did five songs (Sugar We're Goin Down, A Little Less Sixteen Candles, Thriller, Chicago Is So Two Years Ago, and Dead On Arrival), and it was supposed to be just for all these really nice kids who were from Make A Wish Foundation. But us and like 20 other volunteers were just standing there watching, so Pete goes "You know you guys can come up too if you want, it's more fun." So of course we all rush the stage. XD
After that, we got power bars and granola from backstage to serve to people and walked right by Joe, which was kind of pretty cool. After serving power bars for an hour or something and dancing to crappy songs that used to be on the radio all the time, we got free sodas and ran off to the stage and got barricade.
They did a one hour set and it was fantastic. They did a bunch of songs they always play and one of their new songs, I Don't Care. I took video of that as well as two or three other songs, and I got about half a million pictures, which I'll post in a second. Basically, it was REALLY fun and I'm still smiling from how amazing Fall Out Boy STILL is.
Short version: I volunteered at the Nike+ 10K, got to see FOB soundcheck, then got barricade for their one hour set. :P

Free Show At The Metro (WAS AMAZING!)
I am BACK from the free show with Danger Is My Middle Name, Cavashawn, Coventry, and Hotel Ahead! :D
To say it was amazing, would be a terrible understatement. And I only knew two songs. Total. XD
SO we got to the venue and Hotel Ahead was already onstage, they were pretty good. Then Coventry took the stage, and they were AWESOME. Seriously, they had great stage presence and their songs are fabulous! Then Paige decided to buy their EP while I debated between which of the other three EP's I'd buy.
Well it didn't take me more than one song into DIMMN's set to figure out which EP I wanted. XD They were AMAZING! Gabe and William (YEAH I LOL'D ALL OVER MYSELF XD) came onstage during Coventry's set wearing superhero capes. I squealed, because I wore a shirt with superheroes on it that says "I need a hero.' XD
So then DIMMN played and they were THE SHIT, I kind of (except completely) spazzed when they played Revenge On The Radio. It was exciting. Craig grabbed my hand. :]
So then we go downstairs to buy our EP's. Paige and I meet half of Coventry and they're REALLY nice except their lead singer TOTALLY snubbed me cause I didn't buy their EP. XD Oh well.
So we go back upstairs for a few songs from Cavashawn then decide to leave. We see William from DIMMN and I go to get my EP signed. He said a lot of things but I mostly couldn't hear him because it was loud. XD He did say that he liked my shirt (WHICH MADE ME DIE.) and poked Spiderman on it, saying he was the best. To which I said 'yeah spiderman is kick ass!' Which, of course, he is. :]
Then I WAS gonna get a picture with Bill but he said he had to run to go do something, so we waited around for a bit and I got my EP signed by Gabe. After waiting five minutes then seeing one more song from Cavashawn, we left. Who was outside the venue? Bill. :]
He said he was sorry he bailed on us, and we got some awesome pictures. Then, as I was leaving, he tapped my shoulder, smiled and said, "Hey I'll see you again soon, right?" (SWOON) And while I swooned I said "Yeah, totally!" and Bill said "SWEET!"
Easily the best band member meeting I've ever experienced. :D

CUTE IS WHAT WE AIM FOR SHOW!
SO
On August 10th, I went to a show at The Metro.
Cute Is What We Aim For, Ace Enders, Powerspace, and Danger Radio.
Remind me to never again go to a concert at The Metro on the night of a Cubs vs. Cardinals game. XD
We got to the venue a little after doors opened and waited in line for maybe 15 minutes, it was an easy wait.
We got into the venue and I grabbed a The Rocket Summer poster. XD WHOO!
We went up to the stage and got a good spot for Danger Radio, I like them a lot. :P
Danger Radio took the stage at 6:30 and rocked it, opening with a short cover of Thriller. That was cool.
We went downstairs after every set, this time we got to meet Andrew DeTorres, the lead singer for Danger Radio!
He's REALLY short. Like he's the same height as me. XD
Then we went back upstairs and watched Powerspace, they were pretty amazing!
I was sad because they finished their set and they hadn't done my favorite song, "Right On, Right Now".
But the crowd cheered for an encore, and they came out and did that song.
I jumped around like the spaz I am. :P
Then we went downstairs again and met Alec Cyganowski, the lead singer for Powerspace. He's a real nice guy. :) We also met the guitarist for Danger Radio, Elan Wright.
Then we went back up for Ace Enders, who was really nice and reminded me of Michael Cera. A LOT. As well as Andrew McMahon in his musical style. :)
Then we went BACK downstairs again and picked up some posters then hung out upstairs while we waited for Cute Is What We Aim For to take the stage.
They finally did, opening with "I Put The Metro In Metronome" and rocking the crowd.
Shaant is funny looking. But he was cool. :) We left 45 minutes into their set because we wanted to catch the 10:40 train.
We managed to catch the train AND get slurpees! NICE.
Favorite songs of the night: Kiss n' Tell ~ Danger Radio, Right On Right Now ~ Powerspace, Bring Back Love ~ Ace Enders, and Doctor ~ Cute Is What We Aim For.
IF YOU HAVEN'T HEARD OF THE SONGS OR THE BANDS, GO CHECK THEM OUT NOW!!!!!

WARPED TOUR!
SO WARPED TOUR.
I am so sunburned (just on my face) i think even my eyelids burned. xD
So I woke up this morning and had a nice chocolate scone for breakfast and ran out the door and we arrived at the gate in like forty minutes.
Almost as soon as we got out of the car, some guys approached us asking us to listen to their CD, which was really good so I bought it. They're called Barely Blind. I like them. :]
Then we ran into MORE guys who wanted us to check out their music, called Karrigan. They're pretty cool too.
So they open the gates and we all trek over to the MAIN gates. We make our donations to Punk Junk, which entitles us to a special line of entry which lets us in at the same time as other people but before them because we donated stuff! NICE. So I was like...third in line. XD
We get some free FTSK posters, see David from Every Avenue walking around randomly, then see Tony Marino riding his bike around OUTSIDE the venue which kinda weirded me out. But it made me go 'OMG WE'RE ACTUALLY AT WARPED TOUR. WHOA.'
So we get let in and run straight to the bathroom. Cause we're awesome.
Then we go to the schedule thing and see that Cobra Starship is playing in about fifteen minutes. OH SHIT.
So we run over there and manage to get barricade. Nice. Nate Novarro is doing random stuff on the stage which made me smile cause I <3 Nate. Mikey (drum tech for The Academy Is...) was there too, which was awesome cause it's MIKEY. They were pointing at me and Paige and smiling, I think they enjoyed our shirts very much.
Then someone behind us yells 'I LOVE YOU ALEX SUAREZ' who is now playing around on the drums. I look around and it's Gabe Saporta, right there. He ran away, but it was funny. They started up and did a good set, but sometimes I think Gabe's a little bit full of himself. JUST A BIT. XD
Jack and Rian from All Time Low came backstage after a little while, and William Beckett never came on to do Bring It, and neither did Travis McCoy, and Sisky ended up doing the rap bit. Which I enjoyed.
Then we got some merch, which for me was a Santi's Little Helpers club subscription (TAI's fanclub, included a t-shirt drawn by The Butcher, a note from Sisky, a membership card, a sticker, and a button), a TAI hoodie (WHICH IS THE MOST COMFY HOODIE EVER), and a TAI shirt. :P
Then we went to go see TAI! We managed to get up pretty close, behind the person in front of the barricade. It was crazy, they did some great songs! Neighbors, We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands, Checkmarks, Classifieds, About A Girl, Summer Hair = Forever Young, and I think there was another but I can't remember it. :P Travis from We The Kings came on to sing with them and that was cool, then William jumped off the stage at the end and as he walked by everyone screamed and I grabbed his hand. Whoo.
After that we found Every Avenue (well 3/5 of them) in their merch tent and talked to them for a bit, they're pretty cool guys.
Then we went to see We The Kings' set, which we were really far back for. But it was good, they're better live than I thought. Whee!
After that we went to the TAI tent because there was an 'SLH listening party' where we could hear new songs off of Fast Times At Barrington High. Before Jack got there though, we met Alex Suarez from Cobra Starship over at the Cobra tent and I got some shorts and a 'guilty pleasure' bracelet.
Then we head back to the TAI tent and Jack is there (he's TAI's camera guy) and he just held up a boom box and played the new tunes to us, it was really cool! YOU GUYS ARE GONNA LOVE THE NEW RECORD! :D
Then we wanted to meet TAI at the AP tent but we couldn't find it, so Jack led us there. We talked for a bit then got a picture and then
WE MET THE ACADEMY IS...
HOLY SHIT.
We had cut the autograph line passes, so I was like the fifth person in line. xD
They are SO nice.
William: Hey how are you, I like your shirt!
Me: Thanks, I made it myself! Look at the back -turns around-
Michael: -looks amused-
William: Check this juliet...oh, that's new!
(THAT MAN IS SO ADORABLE, THE WAY HE SAID THAT IT SOUNDED LIKE HE DIDN'T EXPECT ANYONE TO WATCH TAI TV EVERY TIME THERE WAS A NEW ONE. XD)
They both signed my shirt then I moved on to Mike.
Mike: Hey how are you today?
Me: Good thanks, you guys did a great set!
Mike/Sisky: Thanks so much! :D
Sisky: I like your shirt!
Me: Thanks, we had a shirt making party.
Butcher: Oh, those are the best kind!
LOL I LOVE THEM. I WANNA MEET THEM AGAIN REALLY SOON!
Tony wouldn't allow pictures. Meanie.
Then we realized that Mayday Parade had a signing right next to that so we met them too. They're pretty cool guys. :] We got free posters!
Then I bought a shirt that says 'stay positive' and I like it.
Then we went to go see Forever The Sickest Kids! They opened with 'Whoa Oh' which made me really happy because it's a GREAT song! They did such a good set. Oh my. I got a video! :D I didn't get any pictures of Kyle because I couldn't see him, but at the end of their set I saw him walking off with Caleb and I got high fives from both of them. COOL.
So then we walked around a bit and saw a band called Between The Trees do an acoustic set, I love them! You should go check em out NOW. :D
Then I bought a To Write Love On Her Arms shirt cause I've been meaning to do that anyways. Whee!
Then we got into the crowd for All Time Low. I wanted to take a picture of the crowd, but after I did that, the guys behind me wanted me to take a picture of them. So I did. XD
The crowd for ATL was INSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANE! I got out after Poppin' Champagne because I got knocked down by crowdsurfers. No thanks.
I love ATL, but not enough to DIE.
So I wandered over to nowhere in particular, hearing Everything Is Alright and then running to the Motion City Soundtrack stage after tripping over nothing from seeing Tony AGAIN just hanging out by the Snakes & Suits tent.
I always love seeing MCS, they're hilarious and they have such great music!
And Justin Pierre was wearing a Sirius Black shirt. It was pretty cool!
And so after MCS we left, went to Odyssey Fun World for drinks, and then went home!
IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!
IS THAT DETAILED ENOUGH?!?!?!??!?!!?
Still uploading pictures. They're on my facebook for now though, it's gonna be a while before they're all up on photobucket! So if you wanna add me on there or just look at the pictures (which you can do!) go here:

AND NOW, I SLEEP.
DANCE ACROSS THE COUNTRY TOUR!
Okay. This concert was amazing.
Start off taking the 11am train to Chicago, and I arrive at the venue with Paige at about 12:30/1. We made some friends and talked for a while about random crap. Grace comes in around 1:30/2.
~FIVE HOURS LATER~
We are running inside the The House Of Blues to get a good spot. We end up one person behind the barricade on the right side. It was a GREAT spot.
A band opens at around 5:50 called...to be quite honest, I can't remember. I feel terrible about that, but I can't. They had Chris Faller's dad on drums. XD
Next came The Morning Light. They're VERY nice guys and are wonderful live. Not much else to say there.
Next was The Cab. Basically, I flipped a shit. I've been wanting to see them since perhaps November, and FINALLY! Jeez. We were ENORMOUSLY close, and Alex DeLeon ran around. A LOT. Spaz. He came into the crowd at one point and I honestly could've hugged him if I wanted to, I got that close. :) They were fabulous, amazing stage presence and great sound, and they really know how to get the crowd going! DeLeon was talking about how it was the best show they'd ever played, and saying that not only are we Chicago, but also Gotham. He then decided that one of us was Batman and he was determined to find us. XD
Then, about half an hour later, The Hush Sound took the stage, opening with Intro, the first track off of Goodbye Blues. By this time I had somehow made it to the barrier and so was RIGHT in front of them! But I didn't want to risk using my camera since there was a security guard right there. It was fantastic, Greta has an AMAZING voice! They played for a long time, doing about 20 songs or so. Also they did a cover of Back In The USSR. And their drummer Darren sang a song, which was great. I just can't believe how much they get better EVERY TIME I see them play! And I've seen them a lot of times. :P Oh and I yelled 'G-DUB U NO!' at one point because Chris and Darren went to G-dub. Chris smiled really big and said something to me, but I didn't hear him. XD GO ME.
So after that, we go out to look for people to meet. We find The Morning Light, talk for a while, and snap a pic. We find Cash and Johnson from The Cab, Cash smells like alcohol, but he's nice. XD Then Grace and I meet Alex DeLeon, and I asked him if he found Batman.
"No...but I WILL!" That kid is so very nice. :)
Then we meet Ian from The Cab and get some merch, then go to leave, when all of a sudden I see someone who looks REMARKABLY like Greta. What a shocker, it is.
So we meet Greta, the nicest person on earth. I gave this girl I met at the show my number and Greta was like "Oh it's so NICE to hear a 630 area code!" THS loves their hometown. :) Then we go downstairs to see Alex Marshall about to leave, and get some pictures. He seemed a bit off, but he was nice. :)
Then we went home screaming about how amazing the show was, because...well, it was. Seriously, I can't even...wow. If you were there, I was on the front right side in a bright yellow t-shirt and waving my arms around and screaming a lot. XD So yeah.
GO SEE THOSE BANDS.

Keep Me Where The Light Is
Just woke up. *rubs eyes*
So I saw John Mayer last night. It was certifiably amazing.
Best concert I've EVER been too. And that is SAYING something!
And I didn't even meet anybody. xD
So I went to the show with my buddies Paige and Christy. We got lawn seats and were in pretty much the VERY center, it was a good view. Except John Mayer was about as tall as my thumb as far as I could see, so thank God they had those big projection screens.
Brett Dennen opened the show. He was pretty good, although not many people really listened and I didn't know any of his songs. But he was good. :)
Colbie Caillat followed, performing very well. Her voice is beautiful live. I don't know too many of her songs, but she did Bubbly and Realize towards the end of her set.
About half an hour later, it was dark and John Mayer took the stage, opening with a cover of Sweet Home Chicago. The crowd went insane. Because for some reason, nearly EVERYONE who comes through Chicago LOVES it and makes that blatantly obvious. It was a great cover. :) He followed with a killer set, including a few of his bigger hits but sticking more towards just jamming with his band and singing less popular stuff. He also did a cover of Free Fallin' which was ridiculously good. At one point he asked if the crowd wanted to hear Your Body Is A Wonderland, which got a lot of screams. Then he asked who didn't want to hear it. Less people screamed, but he didn't play it, which made me happy. I've heard that song a million times. Later he did this HILARIOUS impression of a critic writing a 'critique' on his show, complete with outrageous cartoony voice and mannerisms. He closed with Say, leaving the crowd satisfied and smiling. Hehe.
Overall, it was a fantastic show, and John Mayer played for TWO HOURS. That is the longest set I've ever seen, and it was fantastic. The venue had a curfew of 10pm, but he decided to play till 11pm instead. Thank God.
I HIGHLY recommend going to see John Mayer if you can, no matter how much seats cost. He puts on an amazing show without a lot of flashy effects, it's really just him, his band, and the crowd. He said some really really lovely things, most of which I didn't get on video, but honestly I was in awe after the show.
And now...TOMORROW I'M SEEING THE HUSH SOUND WITH THE CAB AND THE MORNING LIGHT! *yay.*

SOUNTRACK OF YOUR SUMMER TOUR REVIEW
I'm a spaz. Shocker right? I know.
BLAH
So. Soundtrack of Your Summer Tour. LYK3 OMGZZZZZZZZZZ !T WA$ $000000 R#DDDD!
XD
The Maine opened. They pwn'd. They were hilarious, John worked the crowd well, and they came out by the crowd a lot, causing me to giggle like an IDIOT at the sight of Kennedy Brock. *kicks self in head* Then after the show we met them all (except John-O) and they signed my Etnies, which made me happy cause I wear those shoes all the time and I've had them for four years. :] And Kennedy gave me a hug. And I nearly fell over. It was an exciting event. :] I talked to them all a bit, mostly Kennedy (NO I'M NOT OBSESSED JESUS) and I know have the coolest pair of shoes EVER.
Next came Metro Station. They were pretty good, I know most of their songs, but the crowd was INSANE! Not even joking. And um...don't tell anyone, but Trace Cyrus sort of scares me. I honestly have no idea why, but I just...yeah. XD They played Kelsey and Now That We're Done so I was good. :] My buddy Tym (It's not actually spelled like that but he's an emo kid who acts gangsta sometimes and it's rather hilarious, so I him Tym. I'm officially adopting him FYI. XD) met their keyboardist, Blake Healy and got HIS shoe signed.
But obviously my The Maine shoe pwnz Tym's Metro Station shoe. DUH.
Then was Good Charlotte. They did The Anthem and closed with Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous, so that satisfied me. But...they weren't that amazing. =/ They didn't have the same control over the crowd as John-O did. (Can you tell I liked The Maine's set?!) And they had these REALLY annoying strobe lights that kept threatening to blind me. So I just blinked a lot and it was good. They were okay. I guess.
Oh and did I mention that some of the band members watched the show from these two random doors that were a couple floors above the stage? No? Well I did now. I saw Paul and John from BLG a couple times, attempting to take a picture and swearing profusely when they would move RIGHT before I took it. XD Paul came out for a while during Metro Station, and I am not at all ashamed to say that I stared at him for most of the set rather than watching Trace. XD
Anyhow.
Boys Like Girls. I am SO glad I finally saw them, because despite rumors I've heard stating that they suck live, they ROCKED the stage. And Paul DiGiovanni has one of the most adorable smiles EVER. :] Martin was very funny and I was surprised that the crowd didn't get TOO crazy for them. The only sad part was that Santi (my digital camera) died about three songs into their set. So I don't have many pictures. =/
All in all, it was an AMAZING show! Except for afterwards when we got off the El one stop too early thinking it'd be closer to the train station.
Needless to say, it wasn't. XD But we had a nice walk around Chicago and BARELY made the 10:40PM train.
Highlights of the night: meeting The Maine (Kennedy was the nicest :]), getting a Gatorade and chugging it in less than a minute, singing and jumping like a maniac for BLG, and singing and dancing through the streets of Chicago.
I DEFINITELY recommend seeing The Maine! As well as BLG. :] WOOT!
