As requested, lol, here are two pics of the new couch set.... I love them, they are so comfy too! I love that they match the rug, and the hangings we have on the wall.

OK, so, this week, I have gotten two things that I have been wanting/needing. I am so happy about them, I thought I would share about them here....

First thing...
Monday after my therapy appointments, my Mom & I stopped in at the Goodwill to waste some time. Of course, I ended up getting some new ties for the Hubby, brand new shoes for the nephew, and cute little fuzzy pumpkin onesies for the new great-niece & great-nephew... Then, as I was checking out the furniture things, there was this great couch and love seat set, that would match the colors I am doing our Greatroom... Well, our current couches are very old, very ugly falling apart hand me downs from when we first moved into our first place. We dont much like them, but they work for what we need them for, & you gotta deal with what you have, right? Ok anyway, so I saw this couch set, and it was very nice, very comfy and very little wear on it at all. It was a steal too, only $100 for both! Though i think the lady screwed up the price, think they were $100 each piece, so hell I am not going to argue. We bought it and I swear everyone there went by this set and was checking it out, and I was like "yeah, it is nice, yeah it is pretty, yeah thats why I bought it" lol.... Sooo, we finally have a nice set of couches that look nice and are very comfy!! YAY!!

Second thing....
My Mom bought me a camera! I told her what type I wanted, we looked over lots of styles, but ultimately, she made the final pick on them. She bought three of them, for me, my sis, and our Dad. They came on tuesday, and she likes them so much, she got another for herself! Funny cause she already has a camera that is nice. Today the sd cards that came with them got here, 4 gigs, sweet! This camera zooms great, pictures are very beautiful!! I love it! Cant wait to go birdwatching with it!!! My old camera was getting so bad I havent even used it in months, and it was not a great camera to begin with anyway... Sooo.... I am sooo Happy!!! I have a new camera!!!! A kick ass camera! YAYS!!!

I will be putting up some pics that I have taken soon, with this great new camera.... *giggles and thinks of running around outside flashing like crazy mad with new digital HD camera*

OK, I am getting flustered over this....

I have an item up on eBay, and need to sell the thing, but the auction is done tomorrow and i have no bids on it. Who likes snakeskin jackets? Who wants to bid on it??? Ugh. it is cute, no?



So, why hasnt anyone bid on it? Am I just needing to advertise more, or what???

Alright, I guess I should do another update...

Today was my first day of Pool therapy. I have it for four weeks @ three times a week. The pool therapy is aimed at giving me a little more overall mobility, and gait strength especially, so that I can get into the treatment program for desensitization. It wore me out, and was a bit painful, but it is going to be worth it in the end since this is my first path on the road for remission. It is going to be a very stressful, bumpy, painful road, but at the end will be a sweet pot of gold. Well, that is, we can only hope the gold is there. I am very positive & hopeful about this whole treatment plan the Specialist set me up on, I cant wait to get through it all and see if I am back to my old self! Of course, I will always have the fact that it can creep back up on me there, but I think if we get it into remission this time, we will be able to do it again if it ever tries to resurface.
Alright, well, that is it for now. Next update will be in a few (four?) weeks....

I have finally gotten to the specialist in Chicago!! It took a YEAR to get this appointment arranged! Workers comp is a constant struggle, seriously! *sigh*
It was a long drive up there, and a long drive home. We went up this past Sunday, and had a hotel room waiting for us. Monday morning we went to my appointment. I had three different evaluations, one right after the next, and it was exhausting and painful! But, I got through it. We slept at the hotel again and on Tuesday drove back home. The drive took forever both ways, and was painful! It took just over 13 hours going up, and just under 12 coming back home; the trip was estimated to be a ten hour drive, and add in lots of stops…..
So, as to the appointment itself; the Doc thinks he can help me. He has requested to the workers comp that I get into the water therapy (we have been waiting on that for over a year too!), and once it helps me get a little better walking-wise (which he thinks should take a month or two), He wants me to get into their program. It is a 4 week, 8 hour a day desensitization program. It is supposed to ‘retrain’ the nerves back to the way they should be responding; as opposed to the way they have gone haywire in me. I have heard good and bad stories about this type of program, so I am a bit worried, and concerned, but I really really want to get better, and so far this is the only thing anyone is offering up on the table to do that…. So, I will be talking to my main Dr about the proposed plan, and get his input. And I will update everyone when I know more!
