existing home sales income tax.

OBAMA 28% on profit from ALL home sales. (How does this affect you? If you sell your home and make a profit, you will pay 28% of your gain on taxes. If you are heading toward retirement and would like to down-size your home or move into a retirement community, 28% of the money you make from your home will go to taxes. This proposal will adversely affect the elderly who are counting on the income from their homes as part of their retirement income.)

DIVIDEND TAX

MCCAIN 15% (no change)
OBAMA 39.6% - (How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.')

Single making 50K - tax $12,500

Married making 60K - tax $16,800
Married making 75K - tax $21,000
Married making 125K - tax $38,750
Under Obama, your taxes could almost double!

INHERITANCE TAX

MCCAIN - 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)
OBAMA Restore the inheritance tax
Many families have lost businesses, farms, ranches, and homes that have been in their families for generations because they could not afford the inheritance tax. Those willing their assets to loved ones will only lose them to these taxes.

NEW TAXES PROPOSED BY OBAMA
New government taxes proposed on homes that are more than 2400 square feet. New gasoline taxes (as if gas weren't high enough already) New taxes on natural resources consumption (heating gas, water, electricity) New taxes on retirement accounts, and last but not least....New taxes to pay for socialized medicine so we can receive the same level of medical care as other third-world countries!!!

Why is Obama muzzling the press and TV if they disagree with him

raves     by Ayla
Why is Obama muzzling the press and TV if they disagree with him?

Why don't we let Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell sit down?

Gov. Rendell was supposed to give “closing remarks”
during this afternoon’s Shorenstein Center-sponsored panel discussion
with all three Sunday show moderators — NBC’s Tom Brokaw, ABC’s George Stephanopoulous and CBS’s Bob Schieffer — but instead, he opened up a can of worms about bias in 2008 election coverage
"Ladies and gentleman, the coverage of Barack Obama was embarrassing," said Rendell, in the ballroom at Denver's Brown Palace Hotel. "It was embarrassing."

“MSNBC was the official network of the Obama campaign," Rendell said, who called their coverage "absolutely embarrassing."
Chris Matthews, Rendell said, "loses his impartiality when he talks
about the Clintons.”

At that point, PBS's Judy Woodruff, who was moderating the moderators event, said: "Why don’t we let Governor Rendell sit down."

Can you believe it they muzzled the Governor of Pennsylvania They told him to sit down and shut up!

The next day they did the same thing to Ohio Governor Ted Strickland.

Why don't we let Governor Ted Strickland sit down?
Mon, 2008-08-25 21:12.

A second big state governor tells the truth about the press. WaPo:
Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland is the latest supporter of Hillary Clinton to accuse the media of bias in its coverage of the Democratic nomination battle.
At a dinner with Washington Post reporters and editors, Strickland called the coverage “almost shocking at times” and unfair it the treatment of both candidate Clinton and her husband, the former president.
Quite frankly, some of the people that I had most previously admired as commentators I have a remarkably different opinion toward right now,” Strickland said.

Strickland was the second big-state governor and Clinton supporter to sound off about the press at the convention.
On Sunday, at a panel hosted by Harvard’s Shorenstein Center, Pennsylvania Gov. Edward Rendell called coverage of Barack Obama’s campaign “embarrassing”
“He is running for the most important office in the world,” Rendell said. “He basically got a free pass.” Rendell also described MSNBC derisively as “the official network of the Obama campaign.”
Strickland was one of Clinton’s strongest supporters and helped her carry the Ohio primary in March. In his critique, he did not single out any commentators by name. But he was sharply critical of the treatment Clinton got at two debates just before the Ohio primary, noting that she was repeatedly asked questions first, giving Obama the benefit of being able to shape his answer in response to hers.

He recalled that Clinton had raised the issue during the Cleveland debate. “Then she was mocked for bringing it up, referred to as whining,” he said. “I think it was very legitimate.”
Strickland said he was troubled by innuendo in coverage of the campaign and particularly the focus on both Hillary and Bill Clinton. “I mean she was the candidate, for God’s sake, he (Bill) wasn’t.”
He also said he has heard complaints from Clinton supporters about the failure of the Democratic National Committee “for not being more direct in calling attention” to the problem.

Why is Barack Obama trying to silence this ad?

Go here to see the whole story http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D92PL7400&show_article=1
Obama not only aired a response ad to the spot linking him to William Ayers, but he sought to block stations airing the commercial by warning station managers and asking the Justice Department to intervene.

The campaign also planned to compel advertisers to pressure stations that continue to air the anti-Obama commercial.

Obama spokesman Tommy Vietor said Obama supporters have inundated stations that are airing the ad, many of them owned by Sinclair Communications, with 93,000 e-mails. He called the ad false, despicable and outrageous. (I checked it out everything is true*)

"Other stations that follow Sinclair's lead should expect a similar response from people who don't want the political discourse cheapened with these false, negative attacks," Vietor said.

*The statements in the commercial are true I checked them at http://www.snopes.com/politic... I confirmed EVERYTHING IN THE AD IS TRUE. It is in 50 lies told by Obama on Snopes.com

On the News tonight 8/26/08 The delegate from California was told she could not vote for Hillary when she protested and tried to speak to the other California Delegates about this she was told she was not allowed. She then made a gag out of her scarf and walked around the convention hall.

The news anchor said Obama’s team was afraid Hillary would get the majority of votes the first time around and did not know what they would do then.

If elected will Obama muzzle everyone that disagrees with him?
Will President Obama take away our rights to freedom of the press?

The newest DNC Twist to Screw Us Over

The Newest DNC Twist to Screw Us Over
Posted on August 24, 2008 by riverdaughter

This is unconfirmed. I have only heard it second hand. Apparently, Delegates have been told that they must indicate their choice for President and Vice President in writing by 4:00pm Wednesday and turned over to their state chairman.

Now, what possible reason could there be for pressuring delegates to do this before the actual nomination and role call vote. Hmmmm, think, think, think….

Well, if you are planning to vote for Hillary, they can strong arm you and make your life miserable. And if you try to fake them out by *saying* you are going to vote for Obama, you will be assigned a bathroom monitor to make absolutely certain you don’t backslide. I can just imagine them chasing the hapless delegate around, waving the paper around, “You promised. You PROMISED!!!”, like persistent, bratty kids.

Your DNC at work. It wasn’t enough to rig the caucuses. They have to rig the convention as well. But isn’t it interesting that they feel they have to go to such lengths to keep Obama from being replaced by the more qualified candidate. The Superdelegates must be getting restless. Bwahahahahahahhhh!

Update and clarification: Still unconfirmed. Delegates have been calling us to say that their state chairmen have told them that their votes must be submitted in writing, some as early as 10am. The vote will be processed in the hotels. The votes will be final. The votes will tabulated before the roll call on the floor. In other words, it will be a sham roll call vote. Also, there is a report that a Hillary person infiltrated the Hillary delegates. This person was never onboard for Hillary who is misdirecting the delegates. This part is unclear to me but it appears the the delegates have been tampered with from the inside. The delegates that are affected are confused and demanding answers.

This is still unconfirmed. Will the networks follow up on this?

Cindy is the real thing. She does her good works out of the lime light.

Cindy McCain
In Service to Others

Cindy McCain has long been an advocate for children everywhere and their health care needs in particular. She founded and ran the American Voluntary Medical Team (AVMT) from 1988-1995. AVMT provided emergency medical and surgical care to impoverished children throughout the world. Cindy led 55 medical missions to third world and war-torn countries during AVMT's seven years of existence. In recent years, Cindy has dedicated the bulk of her volunteer time to three international organizations: The HALO Trust, Operation Smile and CARE.

The HALO Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to landmine removal and weapons destruction in war-torn countries. HALO has 7,000 mine clearers in 10 countries in Central Asia, the Caucasus, Southeast Asia, Africa and the Balkans. As a member of the Board of Trustees for the HALO Trust, Cindy has traveled to Sri Lanka, Mozambique, Angola and recently returned from her second visit to Cambodia. On each mission, she has observed the mine clearing process and seen the impact HALO has had in people's lives by removing landmines. She has worked tirelessly to raise awareness of HALO's life saving work. "It is impossible to describe the emotion of watching villages erected before your eyes as recently cleared land is handed back to its once displaced people."

Cindy also serves on the Board of Directors of Operation Smile, a non-profit organization whose mission is to repair cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities for children around the world. Operation Smile also works to build partnerships between the public and private sector to advocate for sustainable healthcare systems for families. Since its founding in 1982, Operation Smile has provided free reconstructive surgery to more than 100,000 children and young adults in 25 countries. Cindy has assisted on volunteer missions in Morocco, India and Vietnam. During those trips she has seen firsthand the life changing effects of Operation Smile's work.

What did Denver spend $50 mil grant for crowd control?

raves +1   by Ayla
Denver was given a $50 million dollar grant for security and crowd control.

You are not going to believe what they spent it for.

http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/06/10/activists-preparing-a...

I know you would not believe this so above is the link. I am shaking my head you just cannot make this stuff up.

If you are going to demonstrate at the Dem’s convention you better be prepared for their newest weapon in crowd control

THE CRAP CANNON

It is the latest in crowd control weapon Also called “Brown Note,” it is believed to be an infrasound frequency that debilitates a person by making them defecate involuntarily. Or crap their pants in lay terms.

Denver’s Mayor John W. Hickenlooper has refused to give details on how they spent $50 million federal grant money given to the city of Denver for crowd control, security.

If this weapon is real I suggest if you are going to the Denver convention pack Depends, baby wipes and old clothes. Also as I understand this is a ‘radio or microwave’ frequency sound so a roll of heavy duty foil to fashion beanie hats’,vests and crap shields covering vital areas to “foil” the effects of the weapon. No Pun intended. Are you visualizing the sight? Of brown covered street. There will be a big stink both outside and inside the convention hall.

Gotopless.org (I'm not live linking to protect any office workers in the audience) has multiple events scheduled, including one in Denver "at the doorsteps of the Presidential Democratic Convention."

"I say, why not Sept 1 at the GOP convention?
Are our breasts not good enough?" asks the MNSpeak poster.

Perhaps the security team feels there is already enough to handle.

Heroes that are standing up to the Democratic Party. These men are supporting the voters of their states who did not choose Obama in the Primaries but choose Clinton they are respecting and supporting their choice.

Ted Strickland, the Democratic governor of the swing state of Ohio, attempted to rule himself out Tuesday, telling NPR’s All Things Considered he would “absolutely not” join the Obama ticket.
Strickland, who supported Hillary Clinton during the primary but has been floated as a potential Obama running mate, told NPR in no uncertain terms that he is not interested in the job, and would not take it if asked.

“If drafted, I will not run; nominated, I will not accept; and if elected, I will not serve,” Strickland said in the interview. “So, I don’t know how more crystal clear I can be.”

Good for you Ted. I knew I was right in voting for you as Governor.

Fox News has confirmed that Congressman Dan Boren, the only Democrat in the Oklahoma delegation , said yesterday in an interview, that he will not endorse Senator Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic nominee for president because he is” the most liberal senator in the U.S. Senate”. Boren, running for re-election, said that he had to reflect the views of the 2nd district of Oklahoma, a mostly rural area. The majority of his constituents voted for Senator Clinton during that state’s presidential primary.
” We’re much more conservative,” Boren said to the Associated Press, “No one means more to me that the people who elected me. I have to listen to them.”
Boren also criticized Obama for having a record” that does no reflect working in a bipartisan fashion.”

How Obama eliminated Opponents so he was only one on the Ballot

raves +2   by Ayla
updated 2:26 p.m. EDT, Fri May 30, 2008 www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/29/obamas.first.campaign/index.html

Obama played hardball in first Chicago campaign
 Sen. Barack Obama used the rule book to win first race for Illinois state Senate
 Democrat challenged opponents' petitions and forced them off the ballot
 Opponent says Obama's move "wasn't honorable"

In his first race for office, seeking a state Senate seat on Chicago's gritty South Side in 1996, Obama effectively used election rules to eliminate his Democratic competition.

As a community organizer, he had helped register thousands of voters. But when it came time to run for office, he employed Chicago rules to validate the voting petition signatures of three of his challengers.

Obama's past battles See how Barack Obama has used election rules to his advantage during his political career on CNN AC360 they may run it again Thursday 10:00

The move denied each of them, including incumbent Alice Palmer, a longtime Chicago activist, a place on the ballot. It cleared the way for Obama to run unopposed on the Democratic ticket in a heavily Democrat district.
"That was Chicago politics," said John Kass, a veteran Chicago Tribune columnist. "Knock out your opposition, challenge their petitions, destroy your enemy, right?

It is how Barack Obama destroyed his enemies back in 1996 that conflicts with his message today. He may have gotten his start registering thousands of voters. But in that first race, he made sure voters had just one choice." Obama only one on the ballet
Watch how Obama shut out challengers in his first race » http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/29/obamas.first.campaign/...

Obama's challenge was perfectly legal, said Jay Stewart of the Chicago's Better Government Association. Although records of the challenges are no longer on file for review with the election board, Stewart said Obama is not the only politician to resort to petition challenges to eliminate the competition.

"He came from Chicago politics," Stewart said. "Politics ain't beanbag, as they say in Chicago. You play with your elbows up, and you're pretty tough and ruthless when you have to be. Sen. Obama felt that's what was necessary at the time, that's what he did. Does it fit in with the rhetoric now? Perhaps not."

The Obama campaign called this report "a hit job." It insisted that CNN talk to a state representative who supports Obama, because, according to an Obama spokesman, she would be objective. But when we called her, she said she can't recall details of petition challenges, who engineered them for the Obama campaign or why all the candidates were challenged.

But Will Burns does. Now running himself for a seat in the Illinois legislature, Burns was a young Obama volunteer during the presidential candidate's first race.

Burns was one of the contingents of volunteers and lawyers who had the tedious task of going over each and every petition submitted by the other candidates, including those of Alice Palmer.

"The rules are there for a reason," Burns said.
He said that challenging petitions is a smart way to avoid having to run a full-blown expensive race.
"One of the first things you do whenever you're in the middle of a primary race, especially in primaries in Chicago, because if you don't have signatures to get on the ballot, you save yourself a lot of time and effort from having to raise money and have a full-blown campaign effort against an incumbent," Burns said.

Burns said he believed that Obama did not enjoy using the tactic to knock off Palmer.
"It was not something he particularly relished," Burns said. "It was not something that I thought he was happy about doing." Watch Burns describe how Obama used the rules to his advantage » http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/05/29/obamas.first.campaign/...

But Obama did it anyway, clearing the field of any real competition.
Obama's staff would not comment on what the senator thinks about that petition challenge now. Instead, they referred CNN to this 2007 comment made by Obama to the Chicago Tribune.

"To my mind, we were just abiding by the rules that had been set up," the senator is quoted as saying in the Tribune. "My conclusion was that if you couldn't run a successful petition drive, then that raised questions in terms of how effective a representative you were going to be."

But in that same newspaper story, Obama praised Palmer.
"I thought she was a good public servant," he said.
Palmer, who has campaigned for Clinton, told CNN that she did not want to be part of this story.

Obama supporters claim that Palmer has only herself to blame because she indicated she would not run for the 1996 state Senate and instead aimed for Congress. After losing in that bid, she returned to running for the state Senate seat, a move Obama supporters claim amounted to reneging on a promise not to run.

But Palmer supporters, who did not want to be identified, said that she never anointed Obama as her successor and that the retelling of the story by Obama supporters is designed to distract from the fact he muscled his way into office.

One other opponent who Obama eliminated by challenging his petitions, Gha-is Askia, said he has no hard feelings today about the challenge and supports Obama's presidential aspirations.

But back at the time he was running for state Senate, Askia said, he was dismayed Obama would use such tactics.

"It wasn't honorable," he said. "I wouldn't have done it."

He said the Obama team challenged every single one of his petitions on "technicalities."

If names were printed instead of signed in cursive writing they were declared invalid. If signatures were good but the person gathering the signatures wasn't properly registered, those petitions also were thrown out.

Askia came up 69 signatures short of the required number to be on the ballot.

Kass, the Chicago Tribune columnist, said the national media are naive when it comes to Chicago politics, which is a serious business.
He said they have bought into a narrative that Obama is strictly a reformer.

The truth, Kass says, is that he is a bare-knuckled politician. And using the rules to win his first office is part of who Obama is.

"It's not the tactics of 'let's all people come together and put your best ideas forward and the best ideas win,' " Kass said. "That's the spin; that's in the Kool-Aid. You can have some. Any flavor. But the real deal was, get rid of Alice Palmer.

"There are those who think that registering people to vote and getting them involved in politics and then using this tactic in terms of denying Alice Palmer the right to compete, that these things are inconsistent. And guess what? They are. They are inconsistent. But that's the politics he
plays."

And this weekend, DNC delegates will have to decide what kind of rules it will invoke in helping choose its next candidate.

They choose to play dirty by giving Obama 4 of Hillary’s delegates and all the unclaimed delegates. in a state where his name didn't appear on the primary ballot. Talk about crooks.

Democratic National Comittee Survey

raves +8   by Ayla
Today I received a survey from the Democratic National committee. On the last page of the survey they ask for a donation.

I replied I will not donate anything until I find out who they Pick as the nominee here is my letter:

To any one with a brain I address this letter.

If you choose Obama as the nominee I will, after a lifetime of voting Democratic I will change parties and vote for McCain.

I will not give any money to the Democratic Party at this time until I find out who will be the nominee.

You will lose my vote and that of my 5 children and my husband.

Obama is wrong for the country and I must vote for the person that will do the least damage to our Country sadly it is McCain if Hillary is not the nominee.

Go to www.obamatruth.org and check out all the disgraceful things he has done for money and his own self interests and that of his wife.

.The Republicans will find lots of “swift-boat” material there.

Nominate Hillary Clinton or that loud noise you hear will be thousands of Hillary supporters leaving the Dem Party.

We do not care how much she tells us not to leave we will.
No Obama now! No Obama ever!

If by some stupid chance the Democrat Party think the voters will fall in line once the nomination is set. They are sadly mistaken.
The Super Delegates need to read this.
Vote for the good of the Party

The choice is be a sheep and follow the Dems insane mandate or chooses some one less destructive to the United State? I will vote for the good of the Country. Obama is not good for the USA Hillary is. Our second choice will be McCain No Obama ever!

Obama has the audacity to assume Bush was talking about him.

Obama has the audacity to assume Bush was talking about him.

Bush touched off the firestorm with his address to the Israel Knesset on Thursday, when, without mentioning Obama by name, he criticized politicians who would negotiate with terrorists and radicals. He called such positions a “foolish delusion” and the “false comfort of appeasement.”

The White House said Bush was referring to Carter not Obama but Obama and other Democrats took it as an affront to him, and immediately lashed out at Bush and McCain.

Very egotistical and presumptuous of Obama I say. Is that the way to unite the country? I got news for you Obama the world does not orbit around you. Obama and his minions have got to stop jumping to conclusions everytime someone makes a speech. That is how we got in the war with Iraq. Bush jumped to the conclusions Iraq was behind 911 and when he found out they were not it was too late we were already invading their country. Oops! My bad.

It seemed Obama was just spoiling for a fight with Bush and McCain. He reminds me of a schoolyard bully who drags his buddies (the Dems) into a fight to later find out the other guys were not even talking about them.

Even if they were, was this the time to call them out on it? There is lots of time between now and November for a confrontation.

What harm would it of done to just let it go. A wise man picks his battles but who said Obama was a wise man? and the Dems are just lambs led to the slaughter following the tinkle of the Judas bell around Obama’s neck. Have some more mind numbing Kool-Aid why don’t cha?

Wake Up Dems! Obama is bad for the country he will get us in a war before you can say, “why didn’t we nominate Hillary?”

I do know the thundering sound you hear are hordes of Clinton supporters stampeding to the Republicans to vote for McCain if the Dems dump her.

Do they like McCain? Probably not but he is the lessor of two evils.

I need to find a new party to join the Dems are just to dumb and self-destructive for me. Their theme song is “IF I ONLY HAD A BRAIN” from the wizard of Oz of all the viable candidates that were running how did we end up with Obama?

Your comments are welcome but remember my "reply" button does not work so I will have to answer you up her. Fef is working on it I hope.

Super delegates for sale
Candidates are paying Superdelegates: Current and former elected officials received campaign contributions from either Obama or Clinton or both in the 2006 and/or 2008 election cycle
For a list of the superdelegates and who received what and then who they choose to support. Here is the link. http://www.capitaleye.org/superdelegates.asp

Obama has contributed $710,926 to the superdelegates
Hillary has contributed $236,080.
Obama has contributed 3 times the amount Hillary has contributed.

Some of these hypercritics took large sums of money from Clinton and being the double-crossing stab-you-in-the-back Traitors they are choose Obama to support which is OK but why did they take her money If they were not going to support her?

Inquiring minds want to know are the superdelegates for sale? Can this be a fair election where the one with the most money wins? Like a game of Monopoly?

Should this despicable practice of buying votes be stopped?

All is fair in politics may the most devious, crafty, hypocritical one win

Some of these hypercritics like Kennedy and Bill Richardson took large sums of money from Clinton and being the double-crossing stab-you-in-the-back Traitors they are choose Obama to support which is OK but why did they take her money If they were not going to support her?

They took her money because they felt once elected Obama will be easier to control than Clinton? Obama is very naïve and new to the game. Some of the Democrats don’t want Clinton because Clinton knows all the tricks of the trade and maybe invented a few. She knows the ropes and few will be able to pull the wool over her eyes.
