There was a planet, very far from earth, and because over industrialization and mis-use of natural resources was slowly dying.

The beings tht lived on this planet were called Pollymarths. And they were cute enough creatures but were rather violent in nature.

The supreme commander of the pollymarths sent for one of their best astro-scouts to find a new planet that the pollymarths could invade and inhabit. He told his scout that he had been studying a blue planet in a far-away solar system called Earth. He commanded the scout to fly in his spaceship to Earth and evaluate their military resources and report back as to wether they could invade and overpower the beings of earth. The mission would take two years to complete.

The scout left immediately, and upon arriving at earth, he discovered that the best place to gain information regarding military strength, was at a military instillation. So he landed his spaceship outside a military base and with a cloaking device so as not to be seen, began his evaluation. He took careful notes of all of the comings and goings and of personnel. He noticed that one man in particular seemed to be quite important and well respected. He concluded that this man must be knowledgable of all military information. So the pollymarth decided to gain access to the information held by this man (who was a general in the Air Force). He had been watching the interaction between the members of the opposite sex of this strange species and concluded that the best way to gain access to the knowledge held by this general was to disguise himself as a beautiful, sexy earth woman. Since pollymarths can alter their appearance at any time, this was not a problem. He tranformed himself into a tall, voluptuous Blonde woman with beautiful blue eyes. He decided to name himself Kate. As soon as the general saw Kate (the pollymarth) he immediately fell in love. They spent every free minute together and the general was gladly telling Kate all of the most sensitive military information. But, after a while, the pollymarth sensed that the general was getting bored with Kate. So not wanting to lose access to the information, the pollymarth decided to transorm himself into another earth woman. A short chubby cute woman who loved to cook and clean and was the ultimate housewife. He decided to call the chubby woman Edith. Needing a change, the General was smitten with the chubby little cook, and they began seeing each other and he would also tell Edith all of the military secrets as well. Now the General had two women and he would spend time with each of them and the pollymarth was constantly changing his appearance from the sexy blonde bombshell, to the short chubby cook. And the general just kept spilling all of his secrets.

Finally the time came for the pollymarth to return to his home planet and report his findings. But, he realized that he had actually developed feelings for the general and didn't want to leave because he was truly in love with him. So the pollymarth sat the general down and explained everything. Where he was from and how he had deceived him and being both women at the same time. So he told the general, he had to make a choice, between the short chubby cook Edith, or the sexy beautiful Kate. He told the general he would go into the attic and spin himself into a coccoon for one month and at the end of the month he would emerge as either the cook or the sexpot depending on what the general decided.

So the pollymarth went to the attic and spun the cccoon and the general began the task of trying to decide who he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. The short chubby cook who could provide him with a lovely home and quiet conversation and great food, or the sexy beautiful blonde who would give him the most sexuallly satisfying life immaginable. The thought and thought and he just could not make a decision. He was making himself crazy. Finally at the end of the month, the coccoon burst open, and all that came out was a mish-mash of body parts because they had never joined together to form a complete person because the general could never make up his mind.
So the general got neither one.

The moral of this story is....

You could not find anyone with enough money to pay me to live my childhood over again. I was the vision everyone comes up with when they think of an un-happy child.

I only began to realize what happiness is when I met my wife. She was able to make me realize that life had so much to offer. I made a promise to myself that if I ever had children, I would do whatever I had to do, to make sure that they were happy. I don't mean having possessions, but realizing what is important in life and having an image of self worth, and realizing that anything is attainable if you want it bad enough.

I now have three wonderful children and they never cease to amaze me at what they have accomplished at such young ages. I am truly seing life again through their eyes.

I am now a grandpa for the first time. I was petrified at the thought of being a grandfather. Now, I wouldn't trade this for anything.

My youngest daughter has just graduated college and is now a teacher, which is what she has wanted to be ever since she was a small child. She could have been anything thing she wanted due to the fact that she is probably the smartest person (next to my wife) that I have ever met. She could have been a doctor or a lawyer, or any other ocupation she wanted, but she was set on her dream. I know that their will be great people leading this world one day because of the lessons that they learn from her.

My oldest daughter has just blessed us with a grandson son. He is a 4 year old little guy who she and her husband adopted. He is so wonderful that words just aren't enough to describe the feeling we get when he walks into our home.

We had worries about our oldest daughter during her teen years. She gave me chest pains on more than one occassion. But she has blossomed into a wonderful, steadfast young woman who has a heart as big as the whole outdoors. She found a wonderful man and they have made a wonderful home and she will be a great mother to little Austin.

My youngest child, my only son is everything I always wanted to be.
He is extremely compassionate and loving and caring. He is quiet but not shy.

But the one reason I am most proud of him is his musical talent.
When I was in school, I was the ultimate band geek. I was in every band there was. Music was my escape. My parents realized that I had some talent and rather than encouraging me and guiding me they forced me into private lessons with my instrument and the piano. No young person wants to be forced into anything, so I naturally rebelled in the only way I knew how. I wouldn't practice anything. I would skip lessons. My parents of course looked at me as an ungrateful person and a failure.

Take any talent that I had and multiply it by a factor of 10, and that is where my son is. He is amazing. At 17 years old, he is an accomplished musician on the Alto, Tenor, Soprano, and Baritone Saxaphones. He now wants to get something called a Sopranino Sax.
I don't even know what that is. I was sure that he would become a great musician in a band or even a soloist, so I was surprised when he told me what he wants to do with his talent. He wants to teach.
He says that music has brought joy to him and he wants to share that with other young people. So, he is enrolled in the music education program at U.N.L.V. which has one of the finest music education programs in the country.

My wonderful wife, who is the person who taught me what success really is, now is a mother, a grandma, a wife, and a business woman.
She has started her own business an is doing really well. She stays quite busy, but always finds time for me and our children and the other important things in life.

And me, I am a Radiation Safety Officer at a large hospital here in Las Vegas. I am looking toward retirement in about 12 years where I too hope to start my own business.

So, I can say that I am truly a happy man.

When the time comes for me leave this world, and my family is around me and they say, "you have to live!" I'll just simply say,
"I already did that"

The faeries said, "you know we must
find something to do with this faeirie dust.
We'll give it to someone we can trust."
So they sprinkled it in Aubreys eyes.

It makes them sparkle,
it makes them shine,
like a glittering diamond fine.
I love this little girl of mine,
when I look into Aubrey's eyes.

I know one day, a boys heart she'll take,
and that's when daddy's heart will break.
But it's worth the pain, just for the sake,
of a smile from Aubrey's eyes.
