man this week has been crazy for me, and I don't forsee an end to the craziness for a few more weeks to come!

On Friday, Heather's dad flew into town and ran some errands for Heather and I while we were at work. I met up with him to give him our house key and Heather called to let us know that she was also on her way.

I spent all day Saturday packing up the house. The movers came and spent an hour and a half loading their van and then an hour unloading at the new place. It wasn't too painful, thankfully. When we got to our new place, however, there was a lot of things wrong with the house.

Our gas stove wasn't working. No gas was getting to the pilots. Turns out whoever installed the stove did it wrong and stripped something. Our maintenance man was NOT happy about it. Although later when we had a spanish session, he called me hermosa and I thought that was nice. Anyway! He fixed the stove, although that didn't do us much good since the fridge was also broken (a great time for a fridge to break is during hte middle of a move, when most of the food was going to be tossed anyway!). We also had no hot water because our water heater was apparently broken. On top of that, our heater in our house was broken.

So, we had nothing hot. Good times. Anyway, there's still a few things that needs to be fixed that heather and I need to document, but for the most part, the house is pretty awesome.

Tonight I'll be cleaning up the old place and hopefully saying goodbye to that dump forever. We'll see. :)

There's something so very cool about a new place to live. I love the first few weeks in a new home. It's comforting... the strangeness.

So, Adi won't help...

*sigh* Adi won't help me move!!!!!

In other news.............

It's the weirdest thing ever to get MySpace or SodaHead messages from people asking me about me being on Smallville's DVD set.... and complimenting me. Occasionally I used to get emails about AllisonMackOnline.com or Denise-Quinones.com but... now I get quite a bit of messages about being on the DVD set.

It's nice to hear from people though, so that's cool. :)

Oy! Busy Busy

Man, Life can sure sometimes take you by surprise at times...

Things are going to get crazy busy for me for the next two weeks. I'm moving into my brand new apartment on the 27th and there's so much crap to get done before then! Getting all of the utilities set up, getting things paid off before then, working to finish up websites, etc. It's been surprisingly difficult to even sleep at night because there's just so much on my mind. I just end up flopping around like a flounder for for hours.

Oh well, it'll slow down in about a month, hopefully.

Our new place has a second bedroom that we're going to turn into an office area. The going theory is that it will help us keep mail and papers out of the living room, thus aiding us in keeping our living space cleaner. Regardless, we're going to ikea to buy these really really cute desktops that we think kind of fit our nature. Its glass with black designs on them, with flowers knocked out of the black. We'll accent the room in red (i.e. red filing cabinets). We think it'll be cute.

The living room will be burgandy and dark/black wood stuff.

Bedroom is kinda hodgepodge right now. I still have to figure out which room the kitty litter is going to go into.

It's fun to plan a new home layout!

And we all fall down....

I don't know why I made that my subject. Kinda morbid. I'm actually not even feeling remotely morbid today either. Although admittedly my emotions have been on a totally insane rollercoaster ride for the last few weeks. I hate being sick.

This week I have to find a new apartment. For some reason the apartment hunt is not as pleasant this time around. Everything's super expensive or the managers seem to be total jackasses that we'd never want to manage over us.

We did, however, find this one place that we're interested in. It's got MANY pros and a few cons.

The CONS are:
The laundry facility is way far of a walk.
There is only one parking spot, but its not in a grid so I don't have to worry about waking up way too early every day
There will be a need for extra air conditioner units and maybe some space heaters in the winter.
Its an old slightly unkept building on the outside. Fairly kept-up on the inside.

The PROS are:
It's LARGE. The apartment is a two bedroom and a large two bedroom at that. The kitchen is TINY, but um, we rarely use kitchens anyhow.
Hardwood floors, which is great for cats so they won't fuck up the floors.
Plenty of storage.
REALLY cute courtyard/garden
Pool!

The rent is VERY affordable for us. So, I'm going to turn in the application today and pray that our apartment hunt can stop because i HATE hunting for apartments. But I also have to view three other apartments today... I just want this all to go quick and painless.

Cross your fingers!!!

Miss Mack makes an appearance!

raves +1   by Tabby
Today's a big day for me! We're going to have the wonderful Miss Mack (Allison Mack, from Smallville) join us here at SodaHead today! We're doing a video Q&A session with her (and be "we" i mean "me"). I have to narrow down all 12 pages of questions at lunch time to get the perfect set of questions to ask her... and then we're gonna have a special treat too! She's gonna sing live! I've got a music producer coming in to set up the mic.

This will be loads fun!

Anyway, so I think I'm all set up. I am getting a kick out of our latest email exchange that went something like this:

Tabby:
Do
you need anything tomorrow? Like, special water or anything? We're an
internet company so we all just eat M&Ms and drink watercooler
water... So let me know if you want/need anything.

Alli:
i love watecooler water and m&m's!

Anyway! I just wanted to post about that. You can view Allison's SodaHead Profile by clicking this link.

Ah! Okay so Alli rescheduled for tomorrow night. So, if you have any additional questions to ask, go ahead and post them here. ;)

Drowning....

raves +1   by Tabby
Oh man, I am drowning over here. Almost two weeks ago now I got really sick with some lung illness (possibly the flu but that's not what the doctors called it), and I'm just drowning. It's been too long and I'm sick of being sick.

At least there's always the humorous aspect of speech impairment when you're sick. Anytime I say something like "I deed to call by bom" i usually end up cracking some sort of a smile.

The other downside, besides just being sick, is that I still have to keep functioning, even if my body is not. And have you ever tried doing that? There's moments where I'm just staring at my computer screen, having no idea what I'm doing.

If I'm still sick in a few more days I guess I should return to the doctor. I got pneumonia the last time it lasted this long, and I'd hate to get it again.

My Night out with Kristin Kruek...

raves +1   by Tabby
Heh, okay well she was there as well, I should say. Last night was Mark Hildreth's house of blues performance, and the building was pretty packed. I didn't get to even really chat with Kristin this time because she was surrounded by fanboyz and her publicist had to usher her out. But, it was pretty cool because Astor went, and my friend Greg showed up, and then a bunch of friends from this organization I belong to were there as well. It was pretty dang fanastic to see everyone again, although I think our organization is going to have an LA gathering next weekend (or... sometime in the next week, who knows).

Anyway! Here's a pic of Mark:
Mark Hildreth and the House of Blues

Also, I don't know if any of you have cats, but sometimes they are just too funny for words. I was doing something not near my computer yesterday and came out into the dining room and saw that My cat has now decided to take over the computer.

Craziness!!

raves     by Tabby
I've had a crazy weekend. I think I worked a million hours and got loads done. I have two big new launches coming up next week, both Smallville related. It'll all pay off next Thursday night though, as I watch the launch of the Music Supervisor's new site for Smallville happen. That'll be neat. And then Allison's second version of her site is coming out, with all brand-new photos. That's doubly exciting since there's hasn't been a real alli photoshoot for years. That'll be debuting on the 24th.

Plus, I'm trying to get some people to go to my friend's show at the House of Blues on the 30th. Check out his myspace at http://www.myspace.com/mhildreth.

My arm is all better. I need to clean my apartment, badly. Heather's doing well, trying to juggle full time work and school. She's feeling the stress about right now though.
