Our Adventure Today

So I don't know how many of you are familiar with Jim Ross, but this blog is dedicated to him.

Jim Ross is one of the WWE's biggest super stars. He is not a wrestler, nor has he ever been, but he has been the voice of WCW, WWF/WWE since 1986 and when WCW was taken over by Eric Bishoff back in the early 80's, J.R. bought out his contract and then was hired on at WWF by McMahon and has been the commentator along side Bobby Heenan till 1993 when Hennan left the WWF/WWE.

Jim Ross is a good ol'boy from Oklahoma and a huge Sooners fan. Making almost every game of every season and typically sitting right on the side lines at each game when there is no PPV event going on. He is the daddy of Smack Down.

But my main reason for this blog is because J.R. opened up a restaurant in Norman, Oklahoma in 2007, spawned by previous sales of his barbque sauce and beef jerky he used to sell. I guess he was talked into opening a restaurant with his family recipes and natural love and talent for great bbq.

They recently opened his 2nd restaurant, here in my home town for the moment, Moore, OK.

So today, we had to go out and run some errands and it was around lunch time, we had heard great reviews of his restaurant so we decided to grace them with our presence.

I gotta tell ya, growing up in the south, you get lots and lots of bbq over the span of your life. Some great, some not so great, having said that, J.R.'s bbq is some of the best bbq I have ever, ever and did I mention ever? eaten in my life.

The atmosphere is great with all of the wrestling memorabilia. Speaking as a former wrestling fan, not so much anymore, but I have been going to wrestling matches since I was 7 yrs old, so 28 yrs. As we are sitting there waiting for our order, I am looking around at all of the memorabilia from matches that I either saw personally, or watched on PPV. From one of Mick Foleys bloody shirts with his sock puppet, to one of Ray Mysterio's masks to Randy Orton's slim lined panties.....it was just great all the way around. The wait staff was totally awesome, our waitress, THE best!

She had come over to tell us that she would box up whatever we couldn't finish and would be glad to give us to-go cups for our drinks, and then said "Oh, by the way..J.R. is actually here right now, he has been here for awhile getting ready for an interview in case you are interested I just thought you guys might like to know that" Which I replied "Oh really? Well sure, we'd love to meet him maybe get an autograph" She said "Well he will be over this way any time now I am sure he would be happy to visit with you". So we waited a little while, Caelen started getting fussy because it was way past nap time for the peanut so I asked the waitress, "Do you have any idea maybe how much longer it might be before he heads over this way because we would really like to meet him but I am not sure how much longer we can stay" and she said "Well hold on a minute" and she left our table and came back just a few short minutes later.

"Actually, J.R. is just at the bar right over there and he is about to come over here and visit with you guys and give you a few autographs if you want and he will be over here in just a few minutes" So I said "Great, we will wait for him, thanks so much"

Sure enough, a few minutes later, Mr. Jim Ross himself in his signature cowboy hat comes right over to our table and we stood shook his hand and he sat right down with us and we just started chatting away.

He couldn't visit too long as he was about to do an interview with Channel 4, our NBC affiliate. And we understood that..

He was just as gracious and kind as I would expect him to be, and he gave me an autograph on one of his menu's, he gave Mike an autograph on another menu, and then Caelen just so happened to be wearing a plain white T-Shirt today, so he signed the back of Caelens shirt.

I will post pics later when I get them taken of the shirts, (In the process of framing all of this), on my profile for those who are interested.

It was an awesome experience and He is just a very cool individual, funny, warm, intelligent and just an all around good ol' boy from Oklahoma.....

As part of the OU fight song, it's also a common saying around these parts, "I'm Sooner born and Sooner bred and when I die I'll be Sooner dead.." That fits J.R. to a T. Being a Sooner is a very big part of his life and it encompasses many things, by being a true person, true to yourself and true to others is a very big thing and Jim Ross exhibits all of the traits.

I am grateful for the chance to have finally met him and have a chat, and I am honored that he took the time out of his schedule to visit with us. For that, to him, I will be forever grateful.

What some people do not know about J.R. and many have made fun of him for it in the past is that he suffers from Bell's palsy, which sometimes results in temporary paralysis of his facial muscles. I personally think it gives some insight to his personality to be able to go on and be a public figure with that type of condition and not think twice about it or let it hinder his goals.

Anyway, I just wanted to share our great day with everyone and if you are interested the following is the official website to his restaurants here in OK:

http://www.jrsbarbq.com/

J.R. uses his Mom's potato salad recipe in his restaurants and I told him that thanks to him it brought back a lot of memories for me because my Grandma and my Mom make it exactly the same way, and you just can't find good potato salad like that anymore. The taste of it took me right back to childhood.

Thanks for reading the blog and if you are ever in the metro OKC area, please stop by and say hi to the folks at J.R.'s!

Please Help Me Pray...

Yes dear friends, believers or non. I need your help in helping me to pray for those self righteous as*holes who think they need to pray for me because I hate certain SH's and I am not afraid of self expression.

Who the f*ck are these people who think they are so g*ddamn high and mighty they need to pray for me? What they really need to pray for is themselves.

They need to be praying to their God to find a way to stop being such a f*cking busy body they gotta come to my profile and spy on me so they can run and tell the powers that be what a bad bad girl I am being...

Seriously...you REALLY need to get a life people. You had to go way out of your way to come to my profile to see what my status was.

I suggest you also pray to your God to give you the brains enough to leave well enough alone and move on. To go get a life outside of your pathetic little computer and leave others alone.

Whether or not I call someone a name is totally none of your business and those who make stupid blogs trying to pray for me, is making you a hypocrite. You are calling me out for something I did on my PERSONAL profile, which in a sense is bashing me and personally attacking me. You are also invading my right to not have to listen to you preach and pray to your God on my behalf when I never asked for your prayers to begin with...so essentially you are forcing your religious beliefs on me and the people who know me and invading my right to be free from having to be subjected to your religious egomaniac bullshit!

So move on with your self righteous, you are the only enlightened ones, Jesus Christ meets the Succubus from hell crap....and go out and get a life...seriously...go get one...and stay the FUCK outta mine!

Have a NICE DAY ASSHOLES!

Just Life N Stuff

I just get really bummed when there are a lot of child endangerment or child abuse cases in the news.

Some have heard of that crazy bastard that beat to death the toddler yesterday and then was gunned down by a cop as he was stomping on the baby and kicking him.

I just can't wrap my head around that.

And then also, yesterday, locally....2 young girls were walking down their street in a small town, and some crazy fool just drove by and shot them...or more than one crazy fool. 2 guns were used, each girl getting killed by a different bullet.

These girls were like 11. What could any of these kids, in their short lives, had done so bad to ANYONE that it would make these crazy men turn homicidal on them?????

It's times like these that make me want to win the lottery so I can buy my own damn island, and get away from this madness.

I have a 20-month-old and I just cannot bare to think anything like that could happen to him or my other kids for that matter.

I just do not understand how we, as a society are able to raise such vicious animals.

We have come so far in industry and technology, yet we cannot even curb the crazies out there.

And I seriously disagree with our justice system when it comes to rapist, and anyone who harms a child.

There is no justice for those fuckers, so I feel doing away with them so they can never harm another soul...is the best way. And I don't mean letting them sit on death row for 20 yrs, I am talking quick, swift justice...courthouse lawn hangings come to mind...

Frustration isn't even the word that covers how I feel about these piece of shit people who hurt our kids.

I was playing with this to try to figure out what that goofy TammaBamma was trying to do...I love her to death she is so damn funny....I think we got it straight though.

She was trying to add the music playlist to her profile...and well....she thought the blog was the place for it...

I saw where her line of thinking was coming from, she knows now that those are not coded for blogging...and she now knows where to put them...so all is grand!!!
