- Group Description This is where My Chemical Romance fans can come and help stop the media from telling people they are "emo" and a bad influence on kids! P.S. CHECK OUT MY SITE! www.cryerkid.webs.com

We're here to really stop the media from labeling My Chemical Romance as an emo band. Parents will get angry when their children listen to this music, and will blame it for their bad behavior. People are getting the VERY wrong message about My Chemical Romance, they think that they are glamorizing death, and making it some "cool" thing.
Which is oh, so wrong! They do NOT want their fans to think that self harm is anything cool what so ever! They have said it in interviews so many times. They want to HELP kids.
So here you can post videos, your own words, written interviews with the band, written stories from the media saying bad things about the band, really anything related!
Thank you for all of your help! It means a lot to me, and I think I can say all my chemical romance fans!

In fact they are pretty much the obvious successors to Queen's crown, their songwriting is simply the best out there at the moment.
As for those who link MCR with self-harm, well they are clearly not listening to the same band I am. Gerard and the gang are voiciferous in their support for teens and outsiders but not for self-harm or suicide. They stand for all of us who sometimes feel we don't fit in (and I'm in my 40s), and that gives people a kind of unity to hold onto, which in turn makes people stronger and less likely to do something stupid.
