Any of us who have children know that sometimes they need to be punished. But, when parents maliciously beat, kick, burn, torture, violently shake, etc an innocent child, they need to answer for their crime! This is a sickening and heart wrenching problem in our society! I for one dedicate all that I have to try to somehow make a difference. If we can even protect just one child then we have done "something"! I am not here to try to prosecute parents who are merely punishing an unruly child! |

Child abuse is doing something or failing to do something that results in harm to a child or puts a child at risk of harm. Child abuse can be physical, sexual or emotional. Neglect is also a form of abuse. Most abused children suffer greater emotional than physical damage. An abused child may become depressed, may withdraw, think of suicide or become violent. An older child may use drugs or alcohol, try to run away or abuse others. Child abuse is a serious problem. Do something! |
