Before you buy new things always ask your self this question.

Do I need this or do I want this?
Need is basic food, water, housing.
everything else is a want. This is the first step to gaining control of your finances.

Now it is important to see what your total is and what your monthly total is. If you have a credit card with anything over 13.99% you should try to transfer it to a lower balance card. If you are paying late fees or additional interest then you need to get one jump ahead.
Start with the credit card with the highest interest rate and take the minimum and increase the amount you owe every month by at least $20.00.
Take all of your credit cards to the bank and put them in a safe deposit box. When you want to make a purchase you will need to go to the bank and get the card. This will cut down on those impulse buying urges. After the purchase put the card back in
safe deposit box and work on paying off your cards.

2. List all of your bills as follows:
Balance, Due date, $ due, Interest paid, date paid, $ paid
