    #1 CULTURAL PROBLEM NATIONWIDE

Huge Cost of Marriage Breakdown Revealed!
    Source: American Values, 4-15-08

In first-ever research, a new report quantifies a minimum $112 billion annual taxpayer cost from high rates of divorce and unmarried childbearing. It identifies national, state and local costs which account for more than $1 trillion in the last decade. This landmark scholarly study, entitled “The Taxpayer Costs of Divorce and Unwed Childbearing: First-Ever Estimates for the Nation and All 50 States,” was released on April 15th at the National Press Club. “This study documents for the first time, that divorce and unwed childbearing—besides being bad for children—are also costing taxpayers a ton of money,” said David Blankenhorn, president of the Institute for American Values. “Even a small improvement in the health of marriage in America would result in enormous savings to taxpayers,” he continued. The full report is available online.
CRAWFISH NOTE: I call these “fornication families” or “fake families”… God help the children… it is they who have been so abused/shortchanged the past couple of decades and it shows mostly in the schools… but we are in denial… so we blame lack of funding or other such foolishness… morals matter, character counts… except to liberals (national democrats) of course… they are secular socialists.

“America does a much better job educating girls than boys. But now, out of nowhere, comes a book that may hold the secret to male learning... ‘The Dangerous Book for Boys’ is all about Swiss Army knives, compasses, tying knots and starting fires with a magnifying glass. It includes adventure stories with male heroes, vivid descriptions of battles and a history of artillery. Readers learn how to make their own magnets, periscopes and bows and arrows. It gives rules and tactics for poker and marbles—and secret moves for coin tricks. In a radical departure from modern schoolroom readings, the book has almost nothing to say about feelings, relationships or how boys can learn to cry. It valorizes risk, adventure and manliness. ... The National Parent Teacher Association recommends a cooperative alternative to the fiercely competitive ‘tug of war’ called ‘tug of peace.’ By contrast, ‘The Dangerous Book for Boys’ has detailed instructions on how to hunt, kill, skin and cook a rabbit. ... ‘The Dangerous Book for Boys’ will send bias and sensitivity committees into turmoil—but its very success may eventually put them out of business.” —Christina Hoff Sommers

Why is it a person who slams "morality" in culture (or as a strong gov-mental influence) as unwanted by the Founding Fathers never ever tells us his-her church or faith legacy? Go read the Supreme Court building exterior for a refresher.
Morality is NOT determined by individual choice. To the secular (who always fancies themselves as "thinkers") a culture elevates itself when basic religious influences decay...and a culture must (by their definition) elevate itself when religions have less influence over avoiding life choices like divorce, fornication, adultery and "fake families"... nonsense, baloney. The Founding Fathers feared a state (gov-ment) religion backed or mandated (think islamic countries)...nothing more...except to the secular.
Look at the USA since basic morals and church attendance have seriously declined. Just make sense first...then someone MAY pay attention. Its YOU who "feel better" when otjers are also secular in all life aspects.

HOW MANY JR. HIGH STUDENTS KNOW THIS?

“Four hundred years ago… the first English settlers arrived in the New World. They were not Pilgrims.
The Mayflower would not set sail for another 13 years. They were settlers organized by a group of investors incorporated as the Virginia Company. And yes, they were out to make a profit. ‘We landed all our men, which were set to work about the fortification, and others some to watch and ward as it was convenient,’ George Percy wrote. The first year was rough, full of attacks by Algonquin Indians, mismanagement and, as Percy noted, colonists who refused to pull their own weight. After the first year, Capt. John Smith was elected to lead the colony, and historians generally attribute its early survival to his discipline, including his rule: ‘He who does not work, will not eat.’

Smith returned to England in 1609, the same year John Rolfe set sail for the New World, arriving in Jamestown in 1610. He began experimenting with tobacco seeds he’d brought from the Caribbean. By 1630, Virginia was exporting 1.5 million pounds of tobacco to England. Jamestown became a profitable colony shortly after Rolfe started growing tobacco, and England’s foothold in the New World was secure.
To the PC crowd, Jamestown is all disease, genocide, slavery and ecological devastation. To wiser heads, it represents the American values of hard work, self-sufficiency, entrepreneurship and community. It made us who we are today. As Rolfe’s tiny tobacco seeds grew into a huge international industry, little Jamestown blossomed into the mighty United States of America. To those brave colonists, we owe a great deal of thanks.”
