Which nation do you feel is the greatest in the world?
Please, no insults or comments about which nation/nations you think are the worst in the world. Just state which country you think is the greatest and why-- its positive attributes. Trying to keep things positive around here for once on this site.I'm American, and I think America's the greatest nation in the world, but I would love to hear from those of you who think other nations are the best... What makes them great? Tell us all about what makes other nations wonderful places to live in!

Answered It's...
The USA! You should to be glad you live here and not where you have to cover your body from head to toe! You could be in worse shape under the Democrates, because they wont give up until all your rights are taken away! They always are starting something! There are so many different issues that the Democrates have that they will fall from within. They don't know how to keep their mouth shut about personal family issues. They wont even listen to their nomonee's the Dem's are fighting for so many different stupid issues they do not take into account of the most important ones! Our Country and Family are the most important issues! America will stay on top with McCain/Palin "2008" -
They are a very youth oreinted culture....with very few poor and few rich. 94% college grads... Free healthcare, free college, low gas consumption, 85% of their power is from green sources, very few alchoalics and drug addicts, low teen birth rate, almost non existant crime rate and everybody votes..... Exactly what some people who are running for prez. here stand for..... LIBERALS!

Answered There is no "greatest nation."
That's probably the closest to my belief. I think that every nation has its flaws and has its positive aspects, even war-mongering nations (there's a reason people are living there and following their country still). -

Everyone should be able to feel that their homeland, wherever it is, and whoever is in control of it, is very special to them and worthy of their remaining there to make it ever better.
That said, and with obvious bias, I believe that the Western Hemisphere, and the United States in particular, is the greatest. For all its faults and transgressions, it has strived for and achieved greater freedom of religion, speech, and potential for its citizens than any other.
Sad to think that we may also be approaching an apathy that might allow those freedoms to slip away again. -

mmmmm.... I think... the World is "The" Great Nation...
like...
"Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one "

America is declining in many ways, but it is still tops for personal freedoms. With those freedoms we tend to deal more with a certain lack of accountability to one another and with each generation ther seems to be a growing lack of respect for those who laid the foundation for the freedoms we enjoy today.
That's what I think Skirk! -
Answered Unsure
it all depends on how you mean "great". america is the most powerful, but our education stats are going down and were getting too politically correct and paranoid to do anything about our problems. i mean, yes, we have our freedoms- usually. the founders of our country wrote IN THE CONSTITUTION that "the right to keep and bear arms SHALL NOT be infringed. yet weve got these bastards in washington trying to slowly but surely desroy citizens' gun rights. after they do that, where does it stop? religious persecution? lynchings? the newspaper no longer being allowed to print the truth. i repeat, america is the most powerful nation, but certainly not the greatest.
