I would have to say myself honestly. It's times like that when I seek out the quiet places in the middle of the woods, far away from people and technology. Alone with my thoughts I can often settle my own disquiet. It's easier to be honest with yourself when your legs are tired from walking through the underbrush, there's no other voices or sounds of traffic. If you get still, quiet, and centered enough, you can even hear the whispering of the trees. -

When I'm down (and that's a lot) Music is the only thing that can help me.
I know it's probably cliche'd but I truely believe that the band My Chemical Romance has helped me to overcome a lot of depression. For me It's good to know that others feel the same way, and throught their lyrics I don't feel so isolated... -

For stuff I just need to vent, I sometimes turn to my hubby or my best friends. For genuine problems, I turn to God and keep it between He and I. I'm very closed about a lot of things.
And my pets, too, for cuddles. There's something about talking to a creature that loves you unconditionally even if it's incapable of knowing all the details of why you are hurting. As someone else said, they don't judge you. God offers me understanding, animals (and writing and drawing) offer me therapy and something to take my mind off it. -
