Polaroid discontinues production of its iconic instant film and cameras! Are you gunna miss it?

Polaroid has decided to join the digital age and has stopped production of its analog instant film and camera products.

Answered Yes, the Polaroid instant camera was AWESOME and I will miss it!

Polaroid should come with a 2 in 1 feature camera like when DVD's came out, they had VHS and DVD in 1. Digital and instant

I remember fighting over my brother to shake the pictures when we were lil kids. Lots of the only memories I have of dead family members are taken on Polaroids so it has a special place in my heart. However, I do think it's important to embrace the new age. Technology now is amazing, and some day the Polaroids will fade and turn colors. Some day I should go through all the boxes and scan them to make sure they're kept safe for when I have children.

Most of my family photos that were taken when I was very small was with my grandparents Polaroid. It was identical in appearance to the camera from the photo next to the first option.
There is something special about the Polaroid. Perhaps it's my nostalgic side taking over here, but new digital photos don't seem to contain the warmth and charm of an old "one-step" picture.

Answered No, it is an OLD technology. Out with the old!
Digital is the way to go. My system is not as fast as the polaroid but they last longer and with the printer dock I can print multiple copies from different cameras or cards.

I'm sure the cost is outweighing the benefits. Before digital, polaroids were awesome...but now digitals are just as fast and convenient.

Not long ago I went to Walmart to get film my Polaroid instant and they had none. I haven't used it much in the last 5 or 6 years, but it can come handy for a quick picture. I bought in 1991. So I guess I got my money's worth.

Remember when they tried to jazz it up with the sticker version? Not to mention my work had one and the film was 12 bucks for like 20 picks if that.

it's cost really was not offset by the convenience it provided. now, digital photography is far easier and more capable. also the pictures don't fade as much.

Haven't used one myself in a long time, but they are very cool and useful for photographers for composition. Digital makes it possible to do that on camera now. There is an organic quality to film/paper photography that digital cannot recreate.
