Country or Region Non-U.S.

Answered Yes.
It's the same reason we took Panama. We armed Saddam like we armed Noriega, then they both turned against us, and we needed our arms back. Of course he had WMDs. They were stamped "made in the US" The gov't would rather take a PR hit and not make their findings public than admit to the world that we are sharing our weapons technology. -
Answered Yes.
Well, considering Iraq had nothing to do with the attack on Sept. 11, I'm guessing it would have happened either way. The attack was just perfect timing.
The Iraq war is a result of the Bush family's personal vendetta against the Iraqi government. This has been proven, and (sadly) largely ignored by the people. -
Depleted our reserves? This is the first time I heard anything about this. Where is your proof?
Clinton actually accomplished what he wanted to with Iraq...he forced Saddam's government to destroy it's stockpile of weapons (this has been proven), and he kept them from making new ones.
We weren't at war with Iraq until our current jester came in....and his reasons were a combination of scare tactics and flat-out lies.
...and let's not forget little Bush's quote, "afterall, he tried to kill my daddy." -
Another Bush basher with selective memory. I suppose your memory fails you of the military having to convert nuclear armed tomahawks to conventional weapons because of clinton ordering so many of them fired that the supply was depleted and the company that makes them had ceased production of them.
Atleast you admit that clinton was also involved in the Bush war. -
Before you start to toss insults (which I'd also like to remind you of the huge memory gaps that exist amongst the GOP), I would like to see the proof of what you're saying. It isn't an unreasonable request, and I am not doubting you as I never even heard of this. I just want to see the proof.
You have to remember that we voluntarily disarmed a vast number of nuclear warheads after the end of the cold war. The US military wasn't going to just "throw away" a perfectly good missile; no, they would convert it instead.
Clinton wasn't so much involved, as he was left to clean up the mess that Bush Sr. started... -
Yes, the military, under SALT II was required to destroy perfectly good missiles and not just remove the warheads.
My bad, I had the wrong missile but here you are;
The Washington Times (3/31/99, p. 1) reports "The Pentagon acknowledged yesterday that it is running out of one of its most potent and popular weapons, the air-launched cruise missile (ALCM). The missiles are unique, launched from aging B-52H bombers miles from their targets. The missiles can put high-explosive warheads on well-defended targets with pinpoint accuracy....
"To solve a problem already at hand, the Air Force asked Congress for permission to convert 92 nuclear-tipped cruise missiles into satellite-guided conventional missiles when its inventory dropped to 150. The 600-mile-range missile is no longer in production." -
"A report issued yesterday by the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments (CSBA) figured the first nine days of NATO's air campaign had cost the U.S. military anywhere from $350 million to $500 million.
"A substantial part of this resulted just from firing about 100 cruise missiles. The Navy's sea-launched version costs about $1 million apiece. The air-launched missiles, fired from B-52s, cost about $2 million each. The combined bill for the use of these weapons in Yugoslavia has topped $150 million.
"With the U.S. stockpile of air-launched cruise missiles now running dangerously low at fewer than 100 as a result of the weapon's heavy use in Yugoslavia and in Iraq last December, the Air Force has asked Congress to reprogram $51 million in fiscal 1999 funds for the conversion of 92 nuclear-tipped cruise missiles into conventional ones.
"Many of the precision-guided bombs being dropped by B-1 and B-2 bombers and assorted jet fighters, while considerably less pricey than the cruise missiles, also can easily add up. Figuring an average of two bombs released in each of the roughly 500 strike flights conducted so far, at an average cost of $60,000 per bomb, the CSBA estimated another $60 million spent on munitions.

Excuse me but you need to post your proof of Bush starting a mess in Iraq. I hear tell it was saddam invading Kuwait that started the War and that War was finished after saddam (his representative to be exact) signed the ceasefire. -
Answered Yes.

Can you communicate anything at all using capital letters and more than 12 words?
You personify the term "Idiot" in the classical sense.
You are one who is woefully unaware of politics and as such are ignorant of policy. Couple that with the pressumed fact you are 17 and we have in our possesion the definition of "Idiot". -
Well, get your math up and in all honsety, work on making proper diction a matter of habit. You will likely be trained in matters that involve very precise communication.
Also, get your two-mile down below 14:30 if it isn't already.
And if you don't make the cut for sniper (very hard course) our crew chiefs seem to be taking out the larger number of bad guys than all but ground pounders. After about 2 years of that, becoming a helo pilot would be a breeze. Warrant Officer pay too.
Good luck to you. -
Your unit may or may not require it. Honestly, I've never been with the snipers. They are indeed a breed of their own. Weeks out alone, miles from anyone but the enemy.
If you have a 12:20 2 mile, you got it though. I wouldn't recommend running with gear yet though unless you know how to pack it on you right. To much movement will kill your joints and force you to sick call and a med-board out before you hit your fist 8 years. -
I agree but right from the start he has problems.
Sniper is not an enlistment option per se. It may be possible to have the option for that training on enlistment but he will still have to choose a primary MOS.
I also guess his recruiter didn't tell him the requirements to be qualified to try for sniper or even inform him about DEP. Delayed Enlistment Program would have allowed him to enlist sooner and do basic between his junior and senior years of high school. If his grades are good enough.
Answered Yes.
If Saddam continued to violate the conditions of his Gulf War cease fire agreement, Bush would have attacked ... even Clinton did on a limited basis. There was no right answer on Iraq. Saddam was redirecting huge humanitarian aid away from infrastructure and his people suffered accordingly. The world pointed at the infant deaths due to a crumbling system and blamed the USA.
Saddam told his generals he had nerve gas and they believed him. He played shell games with inspectors. He funded the families of suicide killers. He played the ultimate game of chicken. And lost.
Someone had to make an unpopular decision without checking the polls. Drop the embargo or invade. Bush was damned if he did and damned if he didn't.
