How are you going to deal with the price of fuel when it hits $7.00 or more a gallon?

How are you going to deal with the price of fuel when it hits $7.00 or more a gallon?
I've read that $7.00 a gallon is the breaking point for most U.S. consumers. I'd like to know how you're going to personally handle the ever rising cost of fuel?
  • Park my car and only use it when absolutely necessary.
  • Buy a smaller car that gets good mileage.
  • Get a second job.
  • Save money and give up smoking, eating out and shopping to pay for fuel.

    Answered Park my car and only use it when absolutely necessary.

    And I will use my legs to walk and ride the bicycle, buses and trains to get anywhere outside my back yard. And I will wait and buy an alternative fuel car if I buy one at all. I will stop doing volunteer work as there is no public transportation to the site at this time. I may quit working and go on welfare. I will vote Republican. I may move out of the country.

    buy a moped like 90% of what the rest of the world has been doing. less does not nessisarily mean a reduced standard of living.

    Well, I only live 5 miles from work. I'm training for a half marathon in Aug. some days I run. high prices live 5 work training marathon aug days run

    Answered Park my car and only use it when absolutely necessary.

    I am just not driving. If I have to I will otherwise I am getting a bicycle with a trailer to put my groceries in!

    Answered Save money and give up smoking, eating out and shopping to pay for fuel.

    stick to a budget. I did this while I was in college. it makes sense. I already drive a smaller car that gets good gas mileage. I also like to car pool sometimes. so basically I live smart and spent smart. car gas mileage car pool basically live smart spent smart

    Actually I bought a 30mpg car in 1999 when gas was around a buck. I've been using gas saving methods since the oil embargo in 1973. And I already word 3 jobs. I don't smoke, drink or eat out.

    i already drive a kia but if prices get much higher i'll have to add a price of gas increase to my out of town clients. really hate to do it. other than work i don't drive much anyway.

    After passing the high cost of fuel on to my customers I'll probably loose so much business I'll have to fold up shop.

    First of all, I can't even drive yet because I'm not old enough. But if I was, I'd get a smaller car that does get good mileage.
