I would probably not be too surprised. I mean no one on here really knows who they are dealing w/. One can only hope that people are who they say they are, but you can never be too careful. I am always reserved and do not answer too many questions about myself. But that is just me.

I know how i would feel because this actually happened to me.
I honestly believed this person for thee longest time...
I gave him my trust.
The sad thing was he never actually came out and told
me... I kinda found out from another friend...
I then stopped talking to him because I felt
completely betrayed and I have to admit
but i have to admit. I was hurt.

Seems to be a problem with the definition of friend.
If you consider acquaintances, even nice ones, friends, then you'll constantly be disappointed.

I value the friends I have made on SH. If they have lied to me they have also lied to others where we both have posted comments. It is hard to post comments for different polls and be deceitful. A lie is needed to cover a lie and so on and so forth. The SHs I consider my online friends have been true in their profiles and it shows in their comments time after time. I give them all

I believe a person will express more on a computer like SH for example then they would ever express face to face. Only because it is easier to explain your feelings. And it gives folks a chance to see the real you... To be betrayed or lied to by a friend would be unforgivable..That's just my opinion....

I don't take internet buddies to the next level. Yeah sure, some SodaHeads here I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world but no hard feelings. Real friends should be taking serious, cyber friends are you guys and Peter Griffin loves you guys back.
