I'm not sure. I am sure that trading oil has greatly influenced the price though.

Yes,then we would be paying a real price for oil not a futures price pulled out of thin air.

Drilling off our shores will create more nature crisis. Indonesia has suffered Tsunami, earthquakes etc. as a result of oil drilling greed that have occured off their shores. West Coast Offshore drilling will probably hasten up the Big, Big Earthquake alonh the San Andreas Fault. Will the offshore drilling trigger off underwater landslides to cause problems for the San Andreas fault? If so, is greed for Oil worth the risk of deaths and disasters for America's West Coast? Is offshore drilling the only way we an reduce gas prices?

Will those who happily call for the ban on offshore drilling be willing to take personal responsibility and accept liability, if lives and properties face disaster?

i think it's whats driving oil prices so high and bush just announced the lift of the executive ban on offshore drilling and is urgeing congress to lift the ban on shale oil and he is in the oil buisness so this seems like a way to line his pockets ( i see a new poll )
