Why has Barack Hussein Obama failed to keep his own pledge to finance his presidential campaign with public funds?
In February, this is what the two candidates had to say on this subject:Obama said "Senator John McCain has already pledged to accept this fundraising pledge. If I am the Democratic nominee, I will aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to preserve a publicly financed general election."
McCain said "I made the commitment to the American people that if I were the nominee of my party, I would accept public financing," McCain said Friday in Oshkosh, Wis. "I expect Senator Obama to keep his word to the American people as well. This is all about a commitment that we made to the American people. I am going to keep my commitment," he said. "The American people have every reason to expect him to keep his commitment."
NOW, Obama says that he rejected private funds before he decided to accept them and will not, although he promised to fund his campaign with public financing, use public financing.
McCain stands by his promise to use public funds.
Why has Obama failed to keep his promise on this issue?

Answered He thought you forgot about that.
Obama has made over 400 Million dollars during the last three years of the Bush Presidency, which he has publically described as a hard time for all of us, while his bank account is growing at a supersonic rate. He was all but broke before all this started. Now he is getting fat, and he wants to get even fatter. Never seen this before have we ? What a CHANGE!!! -

I LOVE that Obama is influenced by the public's request not to use public funds. At least he listen's. Stubborn people only get us into war, and the other stubborn one will keep us there. I am thinking about posing a question regarding McCain that he decided to get us out of Iraq due to public pressure; now would he be not keeping his promise; that's one I wish he'd break. -

It's probably better that he don't use public , the country is so far in debt now, let him get his own finacing that we don't have to waste tax dollars on the whole system. Maybe McCain should reconsider as well -
