What's Bubbling in Your Head?
For those of you who don't know, the downrave system has been changed! Downraves have always been intended to be used to indicate objectionable content (obscenity, bullying, racism, etc.). You used to be able to hit the thumbs-down option anytime you liked, leading many people to abuse the system. Then, due to this abuse, SH started limiting the number of downraves you could give in a period of time. Now, it's been changed completely-- in order to give a downrave, you must clearly specify which form of objectionable content a poll or comment contains.
I, for one, absolutely love it. No more ridiculous downraves because you disagree with someone's opinion. No more "stalkraves" where someone goes to every single poll you comment on and downraves you out of spite. Downraves are finally used for what they're supposed to be used-- to indicate objectionable content!
It seems our prayers regarding abuse of the downrave system have finally been answered.
THANKS, SODAHEAD!

Answered Other -- please explain!
One good thing is that I won't be flooded with downraves from gay pride enthusiasts like I used to be. But people are still abusing it. Jonas Brothers polls are being downraved, and I don't know what category of 'abuse' they fall under. I think they should go back to the old way and but make it so the downraves are not anonymous. Maybe if everyone knows who is stalking or whatever, it won't happen so much. -
I think they should use the three-option system some have suggested... A thumbs-up for agreement or approval, a thumbs-down for disagreement, and perhaps a big old "O" or some other symbol to indicate objectionable content. Or making downraves public could also help, so if you get a lot of downraves from the same person/people, you can just block them. But I really like this system so far!
Answered Not cool! I liked being able to downrave everyone I disagree with, objectionable content rule be damned!
too many controls will dilute the fun and probably lose users
