Will Walmart Ruin Craigslist?
Walmart has decided to take a go on the Internet. In classic "kicking out the little guy" style, it has launched a beta site that targets classifieds that compete with Craigslist. An image and a price are the first thing someone sees on the site so the user sees a "prettier" way to shop. However, maybe people won't sell their info to the large corporation.

I have no opinion on craigs never been there. Butt:::
walmart beat Kmart with cheaper overseas labor/bullying.
walmart will be beaten by Clonemart, which will employ
a work force of unhuman-like clones working in factories.
Clonemart factories will not have to pay a workforce or have any safety standards at all because the grotesque human like clones with multiple arms/legs/eyes will not be considered to be human. Thus resulting in
lower prices for those who only care about their own fat wallet.
Kind of like the way it is now in the third world sweatshops where the workers are treated inhumanely.
Our forefathers fought for work place rights, wages, safety, overtime, vacation, 40hrs, pension... the unpatriotic anti-US corp's fought
back by moving our jobs overseas.
How do we fight back?
Buy American?

I also try to buy American. Unfortunately, there isn't ONE shoe brand made in America anymore. We're turning into a service-based economy. And unfortunately, that can be stolen by anyone. We need to get some more manufacturing marketplace to match the ideas-driven marketplace we are now.

I'm all for whichever site that gives me better tools to use, have more selections, and cheaper prices offer available.
Personally I have no preference to Walmart or Craigslist, and I don't get why some of the users/consumers hate Walmart so much...
It's all about the price, product quality, customer service when consumers make purchases... -
Yes..I get that part...but you're missing the fact of how many people actually have a job because of Walmart, and how many more families are purchasing from Walmart because Walmart has helped saved lots of money for these families (rich or poor).
I understand the principle of how big stores are crushing little stores, but you have to understand it's not Walmart that's doing the action, but the consumers that are willing to purchase from Walmart... -

Anyway everyone talks about how evil Walmart is and how Walmart has destroyed small town business but it takes the consumers to enable Walmart. If everyone in their mother didnt shop there then small town business would still have a chance. You want to blame the corporation for runing lives while you all enjoy an obviously better service at cheaper prices. -

Dominate. I never really used craigslist, but one time I went on it and there were more "Adult Movie Actress Needed" wants than anything else, and Walmart might make that better because I"m pretty sure walmart won't allow that. -

One of the reasons this countries economy is failing. Walmart is a Corporate Bully. They bully their suppliers to lower their prices- hence causing cheaper quality and cheaper(overseas) labor.Walmart has put a large number of smaller businesses out of business by
moving into rural areas.
Yes - they have tried to change their image and do better by the commuties recently- but the damage has already been done.
