you obviously dont know the meaning of PUNK......
  • raves     [-] Fef replied to Meggz
does anyone? I think it has several meanings - both music style and attitude/behavior.

in your eyes they are?? in my eyes your not punk and never will be again..... if you like them you should be on an emo music page...
  • raves +2   [-] ThatGirl replied to Meggz
I grew up listening to them. No doubt they've changed, as all bands do, but they're still being true to themselves.

I honestly couldn't care less what I am in your eyes. Haven't you been taught respect in your upbringing?

Nice ;] She needed some "putting in her place".
& if she hates them so much, why is she still on this page. She can be on some Sex Pistols page for all we care.
  • raves     [-] Haushinku. replied to Meggz
& you shouldn't be on THIS page if your causing so much hatred =]

While they may have drifted more towards pop-punk, I meant to select no though.
  • raves     [-] Fef replied to Beatnik
    how do they stay true?
  • raves     [-] Beatnik replied to Fef
I was operating on less than 2 hours sleep when I wrote that, and I would like to retract my statement, and reverse my vote.
  • raves     [-] Fef replied to Beatnik
so you don't consider them punk. Note taken.

Yes they're punk. Not as much as they used to be. Not at all as much as they used to be but they've moved on to more mature issues in some of their lesser known songs...Then again in most of their recent and popular songs, they are pop-punk which really should just be classified as pop because it's meaningless bullshit

they're pop-punk or punk-pop or whatever. still, I saw 'em live in San Diego on Halloween 1994 or the Dookie tour and it was a good show.

Sort of. They used to be, but they've drifted away from it a bit. But hey, they're getting older, and they want to do things a little differently. I can't blame them that much.
