If you're sleepy during classes what do you do to keep yourself awake?

Currently, I'm very sleepy, but I have a Spanish paper to write that's due in like two hours from now, followed, by attending a two hour class. Any suggestions on how to keep awake?

Actually, I'm tired like this all the time throughout the week...I hate dozing off in class because you miss things.

I like what the person under me said...Take a trip to the bathroom. Maybe if you get up and walk around, you'll wake up a little. I used to chew gum when I got sleepy, but I don't think it was too helpful lol

don't know if its a good tip but here goes....take a trip to the bathroom, get a drink to get you up and out of that desk...or even just a trip to the pencil sharperner if the instructor is explaining something important, that way you won't miss it.

Take your mind off the subject for a few minutes. Doodle in a notebook or make of list of things you'd like to do after class. Just let your mind wander for five minutes and then you should be set for the rest of the hour. :)

Well, most high schools are more lenient; however, in universities, sleeping in class is a good way to flunk out and that's not an option for me.
