For me safer - for the crook watch out! Thank God I live in Texas where we can shoot intruders. That is what we all should do - then there would be no more robberies.

I can agree with you on that. Florida finally came out with common sense laws such as that.
  • raves +2   [-] by Janet
Absolutely! We should all be able to protect our families and property!
  • raves     [-] by aj
fla has the same law now, no problem with that!

Remember what the anti-gunners said. Blood would be flowing in the streets. Didn't happen

depends on the person, the other occupants, the homes location and kind of firearm.

Anyway, I think you may need to move or change yourlifestile if you need to sleep with a gun for protection.

undecided depends person occupants homes location firearm

Only a dumbass shoots himself with his own gun and a world with fewer dumbasses is not such a bad thing. Meanwhile, all the normal people can protect themselves and family from those who have no respect for the rights of others, let alone the law.

I have no children and I live alone. Until I get a dog, I will feel safer having a gun.

Each case is individual. We have a rifle, and have had all my son's life. It sits by the back door unloaded. It has been used to kill one wild dog attacking my animals and a bunch of snakes. 8 of them this year. 6 foot and better. We live in the middle of 120 acres of woods. snakes 8 year 6 foot live middle 120 acres woods
  • raves +2   [-] by trader
That snake should be enough to change everyones mind.
  • raves     [-] by Nate
I would need something way bigger to hold that snake, dead or alive.
  • raves     [-] by trader
Agreed Nate. I think the device he is holding is for catching snakes but with the size of that one I'm thinking one of those robots they use in bomb disposal. ; )

Depends on who the owner is...
Guns don't kill people..the people who pull the trigger do.

Violence breeds more violence... besides, if a gun gets into a child's hands we don't know what might happen.

As long as you are trained and willing to use it. If you don't practice and become comfortable with a gun what's the point. Many people are too afraid to even pick one up. In that case it could be more dangerous to even have one because chances are you would not use it even if you had to. trained practice comfortable gun people afraid pick case dangerous chances
  • raves     [-] by aj
i aggree, aslong as u r trained to use it,, and not like the idiots that get one for the sake of thinking they look BAD,, protecting your family is fine, i went to a range to practice, but i never carry a gun around, its in my home , if i need it and i live in a good place, i saw someone said time to move if u need a gun,, move where? LOL. :-)

If someone breaks into your house, a person is gonna be much better off having something to get that person out. I think a gun would work for that. Guns need to be keep safe from children and stupid people.

I have a 44 mag with Desert Eagle rounds. When that thing goes off you don't have to hit a thing, the shock wave from the noise will knock everything over!

  • raves     [-] by Shayblaizen

    Answered Undecided

It depends. If you are a responsable person and know how to store them and use them correctly. If you have them in a safe and locked up then you could be alright but if you have them just around not locked up and if you have kids in the house or if someone broke in and got a hold of them then it would be dangerous. So I'm voting undecided.

if you own a gun and it is unloaded it is worthless! There is no sence in having a worthless weapon around! Get you conceal & carry permit and keep it loaded!
  • raves     [-] by aj
i hear you, thats why most educated gun users, have the gun in one place and the amo in another, locked up, in a safe room, so if u should need it, u can get into the safe room, load it, and protect your family.
