Do you feel thar the recent indignation toward homosexual marriage by members of the church has scared people away from christianity?
more recently with states approval of gay people being granted the same marital rights that only straight people have enjoyed as a secular right, are people being driven from christianity as feeling that religion is intolerant of others civil rights?

Answered yes, people are less likely to see religion as tolerant of others and are leaving or not joing the church.
Believe me..its not just homosexuality that scares people away from Christianity..its also, organized religion, crazy religous folks...people in the Christian church who have molested..you name it the list goes on. -
Answered No, people are not straying from the church baised on the religous stand on homosexual marriage.
They believe they are right (they are always right, aren't they??) in hating homos.
They also believe that every word in the bible is TRUE.
Enlightened people are turning away from organized religion mostly because they feel that tolerance and acceptance are easier to be found in religious philosophies other than christianity. I recently found two really interesting items: one a DVD study and one a book, both by Professor Ehrman:

People aren't straying from the Church because of this; the numbers of people rejecting religion are increasing just as the Bible said would happen as the End Times get nearer. People don't want to hear the Truth, so they run from God as far away as possible. "This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil." (John 3:19)
Another thing is that true Christians-- those who have the Holy Spirit coursing through them-- will never (nay, CAN never) leave God... As Jesus said in John 10:27-29: "My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of My Father's hand." -

No, people aren't turning away from the Church. PEOPLE will turn away from sadducees like Robertson and Graham when they find out they, and other fundamentalist/evangelicals, are sodomites.
Christianity is adamantly opposed to sodomy, which shouldn't surprise anyone because God torched sodom and gomorrah.

No, anal sex is not sodomy. a N is a L, or a woman.
Only later in English did the word sodomy have the meaning of penetration of the anus of a man or a woman by a man. This is because the jews made the English language, and wanted to confuse the two, so as to get the former tolerated; although secretly to the jews, anyone man is penetrated is a "woman", the effeminate.
This is readily apparent if you look at the word solomon and compare it to the word sodom: sex hole woman hole man hole N, and N is the 14th letter of the alphabet, meaning F Hole you our Be Hole E E N, or F - I -"tu tu" E (it repeats), "tu tu" meaning sodomy, as in "Things to do In Denver When Your Dead", Denver being a name for Hades, and the characters in the movie "undead".

No, I am not a sodomite. Sexual contact between those of the same sex is sodomy. Any who participate in this are also sodomites. A man with two or more women would not make the man or the woman sodomites, unless the two women engage in sexual contact.
Copulation with an animal I would not consider sodomy, although I suspect it was sodomites doing it by shadowing the bestiality doer to do the bestiality.
