Got my first computer 15 years ago or more, part of my job. Hard to remember not using one. LOL

    Some classes, but mostly years of mind bending confusion. The very first computer I ever worked on was 128 bits total memory and you could see the x, y, and z wires and the ferrite cores.

    My parents said I became addicted to the computer at 3 years of age! I learned how to type real fast 2 or 3 years ago.

    I wouldn't call what little I know skills, training maybe, my 13 and 14 year old grandaughters help me a lot, but they are on vacation right now,

    My husband bought me a computer as he thought it was a way to educate myself and learn of things just by being able to look them up. I have to confess I use it for many things. I have purchased many books and a few games off of it. I have also improved my typing skills.

    I self taught myself most things, and also went to school for the Microsoft certification. I'm now working in the computer field.

    Early in my career I used DOS programs at work. I bought a PC in like 1992 and learned through trial and error.

    and then i got my certifications... A+ computer repair and Net+ certifications along with a few others i can't actually remember. I got them before I was out fo H.S.

    I began learning about computers inside and out as a teenager and it was all self taught. I learned more when I joined the military and worked as a computer technician. Went to school for electronic and computer engineering....learned even more.

    But working in computers requires that you constantly reeducate yourself as there is something new everyday.
