find out why the baby is crying and meet its need..feed it, burp it, change it, rock it, cuddle it and love it. it'll stop crying and you're bonded for life. then you get to do it for the grand babies to..life is a lovely circle

A pillow! LOL, just kidding! Usually a car ride will put a baby right to sleep.

if the baby isnt crying for any particular reason, that you can figure out, like a diaper change, bottle, nap, whatever, then you must take an action that doesnt always involving you holding them or feeding them. you want to be there for your baby but not spoil them, otherwise theyll cry everytime you put them down. so, any type of ride or distracting action is good. you could take them for a walk, make funny noises, ive even heard of someone putting their child in his car seat and setting it on top of a running dryer... it worked..

With my 5 month old grand daughter I have found that if I lie down in my bed and hold her close to me, it usually soothes her. Okay maybe Ive spoiled her a bit! lol
