Dell Owners: Are you happy with your computer?

How many issues have you had with yours?
I got a Dell back in September of last year and it has already crashed, is this normal for Dell computers?

I messed up....VERY HAPPY with Dell Computers!!!

The no was for the 2nd question...Is this normal for Dell?

I run all Dell machines at work and at home. Very few problems with them and when there was we had the replacement part and onsite maintenance with 2 days.

Crashing could be due to software installation or incompatibility.

I've had mine for 2 years or so, not a problem yet. Only something happened with the DVD player...it says I need the plug-in now, but it was working before. When I updated my windows media player it stopped working.

I'm sorry. :o( Well, I had a dell tower about 4 years ago that my dad took from work, and it crashed all the time. Something was wrong with the mother board (which is why my dad's work was getting rid of it) so I don't know what really happened with that one.

I'm already unhappy with my computer and I havent even recieved it yet. I ordered a laptop and they added a shipping charge (when the ad said "Free Shipping"), then they tell me that the factory that produced the batteries burned down and I wouldnt be recieving my computer for 3 weeks. That was 3 weeks ago. Checked the status today, and its not set to shi[ for another 10 days then take 3-5 business days to get to me. Total, its going to take about 6 weeks before I recieve my computer (AND I PAID FOR SHIPPING!!). Ohh, and they ONLY offer Windows Vista. And i'm not even going to start on the upgrades. Really not impressed!

I'm pissed now, again. They replaced my hard drive on the first, now, last night, it went out AGAIN!!! I called them back and told them it is the same as before and they want me to spend another 2-3 hours on the phone with them!!! I REALLLLLY dont want to use my minutes for them to go through this AGAIN!!

On top of that, I can NOT understand HIM!!!!!!

You won't get a call back. You gotta keep calling until you get a "good one". Yes, it will be a towel head, but there are those that really know what they're doing.

Been using a Dimension E521 for about a year or more now, and haven't really had any probs with it. The graphics card played up on us, but that was easily fixed. As for vista, thats a different matter altogether!

For as much as I use my computer i guess i can't complain too much, but i have and issue with my graphics card on it, causes the whole computer to seize up. but that is the only problem i have had. graphics cards go out alot, mine just happened to go out right after the warranty. ugh.

I have one PC from them and its a Dimension 9100. It's pretty fast and good for multitasking! Not one issue so far.

I have an inspiron laptop and it works great except for one big flaw. It won't charge the battery anymore. So, needless to say, it's not portable.
