Summertime and the living is easy
fish are jumping and the cotton is high
your mama's rich and your daddy's good lookin'
so hush little baby, don't you cry.
One of these mornings, your going to rise up singing
then you'll spread your wings and you'll take to the sky
but until that morning, there ain't nothing going to harm you
with your mama and daddy standing by.

Me too. I think it was one of my Mom's faves too. She used to sing it to us twice every night. She'd sing it once and perform too, then we'd beg her to sing it again and she would. Brings back GOOD memories!

My Mom always sang You Are My Sunshine to me, so I love it most.
In kindergarten my teacher taught us a cute little poem, though. It went like this:
Ooey Gooey was a worm, a little worm was he
He sat upon the railroad tracks, the train he did not see
    Ooooweeyy Goooweeyy!
