Is Obama too RIGHT on the presnt surveillance controversy and risk loosing the Obama-ites.
ProvisionsThe bill would provide immunity for AT&T, Verizon Communications and other U.S. telecommunications companies against 40 lawsuits alleging that they violated customers' privacy rights by helping the government's NSA electronic surveillance program conduct a warrantless spying program after the September 11th attacks.[2] Senator Chris Dodd has said granting retroactive immunity would undermine the rule of law
The bill would also:
Require FISA court permission to wiretap Americans who are overseas.
Prohibit targeting a foreigner to secretly eavesdrop on an American's calls or e-mails without court approval.
Allow the FISA court 30 days to review existing but expiring surveillance orders before renewing them.
Allow eavesdropping in emergencies without court approval, provided the government files required papers within a week.
Prohibit the government from invoking war powers or other authorities to supersede surveillance rules in the future

Answered Obama flip flop Step aside Romney
Obomba is too LEFT on everything he believes. In my opinion, this guy is crazy. He too radical for me!!! But there is a need to have a watchful eye out for people who are suspicious in their everyday dealings where National Security is the issue, and only that.
Our government needs the right to curtail extremist in this country, no matter who they are, if they are a threat to the peace and safety of other American citizens. Likewise, if they are foreigners, all the more reason, if they are doing something that looks suspicious concerning National Security. A lot of foreigners hate America or more, in fact, are jealous of the American way of life. There is a need for National Security more than ever.
If you are not doing anything wrong, then you or I have nothing to worry about. I know I am not making any bombs. But Nat'l Security should only be used in cases of direct evidence and not on a whim or some phony excuse to check up on someone for whatever reason, perhaps because they don't like you. -
Answered None of the above
There is no difference between Democratic and Republican policies. Obama will move right, and McCain will move left, and they'll all meet in the middle, because that's where the Central Bank is. It doesn't matter who gets into office, because they are just exchanging one bad system for another bad system. No matter who is elected, they will grovel to the Federal Reserve, who will continue to propogate war for profit, at our expense. You can take that to the bank, and trade it in for the Amer-o. -

The present FISA bill grants warrantless surrvelliance of emails and phone calls of all Americans. If we give up our rights under the constitution out of fear then our enemies have won. -

if obama supports the neutrality, thats stupid. The government needs to follow the laws as well... otherwise, the foundation of our government is just meaningless
