"I have been hesitant to post this update because I cannot find a link to prove the claim, but it is starting to look like this Blogspot shut down of anti-Obama sites occurred because of a concerted effort by Obama supporters.
What they did was go to the Blogspot addresses found on the site of the NoObama coalition called Just Say No Deal and constantly hit the "mark as spam" link so that Google's Blogger would be flooded with spam warnings. This caused Google/Blogger to freeze the sites marked.
Apparently, this campaign merely took advantage of Google/Blogger's flawed system of finding spam blogs. So, it looks like what we have here is an Obama dirty trick to shut down political opposition. Looks like Obmatons aren't much for that whole democracy thing."

Google operates in a free country and is free to do whatever it wants with its own business within the law.
They are probably shutting down the "Obama is a secret muslin terrorist' blogs. Google has every right to delete bullshit spam from their servers. -
Google is essentially a media company, and since the organization has the right to free speech, it has the right to delete those blogs. Free speech is on google's side. Blogs can move to other blog sites that support their postings. This is how a free country and free market work. Are you an American?
Try to stop just hating everything liberal and use you brain for a second. -

I just checked out the justsaynodeal website that is in my favourites, and it all works just fine. I have a new computer, and it does little pop-ups to ask me if I really want to proceed to that website. Not much of a problem. I also have google for my search page, and the google toolbar. -
What does this have to do with free speech. Google is a private company and can delete or display whatever content they want. If the government censored such blogs that would be a free speech issue. In fact I think that the 1st amendment could be used as an argument for Google's right to delete such content.

Check out what's happening in Canada, they are prosecuting authors
of whom's books disagree with the government's idea of hate speech.
Some of those authors are American.
I guess if you don't agree with the left or the right somehow you are
a hatemonger and will require to be either censored or prosecuted
by the government.

The vote at the Convention should be secret ballet..... the Obama intimidation has too much power. His gang of 75,000 is rather scary.
He is losing his way and favor. He is winging it with his policies trying to pander and please too many groups...... His pages are blank but they have been blank all along. This country is in serious trouble.... we need experience...... we need Clinton. -

One was a list of all the donations made to elected Super Delegates by the Obama Campaign. It was shut down twice and has been restored again.

Ok, I'm all for Obama, I like the guy for the most part.... but I think free speech is more important. I hate censorship even more then I hate conformists, and it makes me sad and guilty that the people who support Obama would do something like this. I mean, people can say whatever they want, and we don't have control over it. Esspecially on the internet. Obama supporters don't need to get rid of anti - Obama stuff, they just need to convince others that Obama is the right decision for the government. Erasing those blogs is just childish and will just piss off the people who wrote them. It's no way to get your favorite canidate into office. -

Thank you for your above and beyond ability to allow those that do not share the support of Obama to express their opinion and concerns in these elections. There are many, too many, Obama fans that are very controlling and obnoxious. They are by their actions driving away votes, rather than uniting our efforts around Obama.
I for one will never, never vote for him so there goes that possible uniting force. -
