Answered I will go live in a cave to save the planet.

Do you mean I have to give up my LED flashlight to save the planet? Well, I won't until Gore himself lands his private jet in my driveway and pries it out of my dead hands. The Earth itself is laughing at us.

I don't think LCD or Plasma TVs can cause global warming... It's probley caused by other things outside, like car exhast.

    Was this your first TV?
  • raves +2   [-] by mk, Supreme Smartass
Our first TV was an Admiral 12 inch with the doors on it. I think we got it in about 1954. Before we had a TV, we all used to gather at one house on the block and watch their's.

By the way, NOTHING is safe.. Childrens Toys = Full of Lead
Everything we do worthwhile, or what we are doing right now (Computer) = CO2, Global Warming.. Don't complain about Global Warming when you're making it worse right now.

the fingerpointing just needs to stop. Shit- there are how many people living on our planet? Each humanoid creates how much of a carbon signature before they die? The fact is: the planet is overpopulated and it is fighitng back. It is unavoidable and man's fight to save the planet is all in vain. The world eventually will come to an end and people need to get a grip on that reality. Wanna talk about helping out? How about turning your A/C's off permanently or removing the fridge from your home and using coolers to keep your cold stuff cold. What about styrofoam plates and cups? When you throw those away and the heat from the sun melts it in the dump, it releases the damnedable chloroflorocarbons into the air. How about rolling the windows down in your convertible as you are driving around town? All of the creature comforts you enjoy, you would have to give up to do some kind of change, and since we are a country of wealth and freedom ( sarcastically speaking ), it will never happen.. ..

According to all of the Global Warming alarmists, everything is accelerating it. Even their finest poster boy, Al Gore.

I hate this topic. People whine about it, and suggest things to do to "lower your footprint," then hop in their private jet, fly across the Atlantic back to their energy IN-efficient homes, then jump in their huge SUVs to go to dinner and eat a nice juicy steak, which also "contributes" to Global Warming. The hypocrisy is incredible.

Back in the day, we were told that every one was going to be wearing gas masks 24/7 in 15 years. We were told that we were gonna freeze in the next Ice Age. Now it's gonna warm up. Makes you wonder why they are so upset because we don't believe them anymore.

Before I bought my LCD t.v. I talked to 3 electrical engineers and then an epert in televisons. The consenses was these t.v.s used less power and were better for the environment.
The plasma t.v.s were a thumbs down because the life of them is short and therefore it is not only expensive to the consumer but ends up needing thrown away sooner therefore adding to the landfills.
And yes, Global warming is real. Look closer than some of you have.

I wondered about that. Mine raised my utility bill by about $60 a month. What are we going to do, they are not even making the old TVs anymore. Thanks to our government sarting in 2009, you can't even watch TV if you don't have cable or satellite.

My morning breath adds more to global warming.....I'd like to blame Bin Laden, but he lives in a cave....cant blame Bush, he cant spell LCD or LED......but, we can blame cows for the output of methane from their backsides!

    Answered Undecided

wait... not to long ago they claimed that CRT tv's accelerated global warming and that we should move to flat panel LCD and Plasmas because they use less energy. Though now they are switching sides on this? or is CRT's bad too.... so don't watch anything and don't use lights. "wait now that i think about it some stop lights are being replaced with LED stoplights because they are energy efficient and better for the environment. This is part of my cities going green movement... but apparently this is now a bad thing. "

Nuclear winter..Global warming? I wish they would make up their minds.
  • raves +2   [-] by Wicked (Brutal)
yeah... hmmm how about we trigger nuclear winter at the same time global warming hits it's peak. Will they null each other out?
