not usually, I think after a while of hearing negative comments they get on the defensive and call people who do not deserved to be called bigot. It is hard to come back to earth when the emotions are running high and some people just like to push other people's buttons. I would think it may be same about people attacking religion. -
because my libertys are at stake and yours are not... you can worship who ever you like with upmost freedoms which are granted in the stone of the constitution.... how would you like it if hindus passed laws ending the eating of cows baised on their dogma?

Hi Trip, me too. I have posts all over SH that tell religious people, I don't care what they believe or I support their right to believe what ever they want. When I can not get the courtesy returned, and they continue to bludgeon me with scripture...the war is on.

Some folks adhere to the belief that the best defense is a good offense. This is sometimes true but all too often the so-called "good offense" is obtuse convoluted ramblings of individuals who live in fear of what they do not understand, get their pseudo news from "hate filled" radio programs and are sure beyond the shadow of a doubt that everyone who disagrees with their warped perception of reality is a traitor to the United States. These people are, in my humble opinion, so quick to attack anyone with a differing viewpoint that a rational give and take debate about the very pressing issues facing this nation are virtually impossible.
Why would anyone subject themselves to slander and worse knowing that the likelihood of these closed-minded individuals actually listening is practically nil. These individual emote, they do not cerebrate.
I will step down from my soapbox now. Thank you for listening. -
