Is this your first time going? I had gone to Oktoberfest about 5 times when I lived there.

Das Paulaner bier schmeckt sehr gut. Aber du must gehen zum das Hofbrau zelt. Das Hofbrau zelt ist die beste party platz in Oktoberfest.

Yea and they do get a kick out of drunk Americans over there! Lucky I can run with the big dogs! Oh I have been before my girlfriend is German and her uncle owns a bar! I dont think they have any bad beer there. I tried at least 100 and all were good. Yes thats party central in Oktoberfest!! Ive got to split up my time over there and see her family and will be coming back mid October.

If you are used to drinking that good German beer than you shouldn't have a problem. It is the loud American Oktoberfest virgins that everybody gets a kick out of.
Also, I don't know your exact schedule but there is another Oktoberfest in Stuttgart that is good too as well as a wine festival sometime during the September/October time frame in Bad Durkheim.
Plus, there are so many small town festivals that you probably will have no problem finding other alcohol related activities.

Im not just going there to drink but there will be allot of that too! I wanted to spend a week in Rothenburg to find some ghosts!

Are you talking about some ghost at some hotel in Rothenburg ob der tauber? Or do the night watchman tour and roam around the city at night looking for ghosts. I have been there several times and stayed in a few hotels there but never went on the tour and never experienced anything spooky.

I had a friend that spent a week and would walk outside the walls at night. He told me some things I had heard before about that area. Something was following him around breathing down his neck and he couldnt get away from it.
