JC...It doesn't taste like beer. It tastes like liquid pumpernickel bread. The beer is so rich you almost need to chew it a couple of times before you swallow each sip. I have a beer every couple of months when I have either pizza or homemade tamales.

Answered Import? Name that beer!
I was stationed in Germany for nearly 7 years so anything German or European is great. However, this beer is not sold in the U.S. but if you want something that will get you tore up try Park Pirminator if you visit Germany. You have to make sure this beer is really cold when you drink it or it will taste crappy when warm.

One of my favorites is called Kilkenny but you can't find it here in the U.S.
Basically almost all the great tasting beers are overseas. -
I haven't seen Kilkenny here but I should check to see if they have Smithwicks at a specialty beer store. I forgot that Smithwicks made Kilkenny and It should taste very close if it comes from Ireland and not brewed in the U.S. The last time I had a Kilkenny was overseas about 4 years ago. And.... I loved it!
The U.S. just waters down the beer and it lacks big time. I will definitely have to read the label to make sure.
Thanks for the comment and info! -
I live in DC but there are some specialty stores nearby in Virginia and Maryland. I usually check with those stores first and ask if they know of any distributors in the local area. But... I do want to thank you again for the information and the help. It is much appreciated!

Answered Domestic? Name that beer!
Shiner Bohemian Black Lager is the only beer I'll drink.
