Not fireworks, guns. They always do this on New Years and 4th of July out here. Our dogs slept through it. There is plenty of acreage and vacant land out here and no danger unless someone is sneaking around on someone's property, so I don't worry about it. I'm not about to go out late at night trying to find out where the shots are coming from. -

Fireworks are illegal here due to fire hazzards & animal keeping laws. My next door neighbor warned me he'd had a few to fire off of the"safe & sane", you know the lilttle stuff. After the 3rd one shot up & bursted over our 2 story roof tops and my horses were hitting the stalls freaking out, I had to regretfully ask that he cease the celebration. He was disapointed but did so immediately. Unfortunately not before another equine neighbor called the fire marshal.....he received a $1000 fine. Bummer, he was pretty cool & warned us he'd had some & quit once it was discovered they were too much for the horses to handle. But, the law is the law & the city is cracking down on everyone. -

The windows are shaking, the dog is under my chair and I have my music up as loud as I can bear and I know I will be in my back yard picking up all the remains that fell in my yard tomorrow. No complaints though-I like hearing others having fun. -

yes even now its 10:45PM they started big time shortly after 9PM - we can here the professionals- the city hires- and people down the street- and the next bock over- 3 people put them off every year- compete with each other. Our dogs were so scared they ran down the basement- even now are staying at my feet.

Yes, and it's a hefty fine around here to do that. But they do it anyway.
