Do you own or read Tarot Cards?

Do you own or read Tarot Cards
For several years I owned a metaphysical book
store. I sold and read Tarot Cards for people.
I have done readings for over 45 years.
Does anyone else own or read Tarot?
If so which deck?

I have never had an experience with them but it could be fun to go and waste some money on a fake fortune with a friend sometime.

Hi Lox, we used it for party games. It was fun.

It sounds like something that could be fun. I've just never had the opportunity. Perhaps someday? :)

    I don't, I rely on my Ouija board...but, my mom sleeps on hers...believe that's how it's done.

Answered I own a deck and have read the cards

For the hell of it. I wouldn't even be able to tell you where my card sets are in the house right now. And for me, they were kind of a college party trick, not unlike Ouija boards were in junior high school or high school; I didn't put any stock in them, but they were entertaining and a harmless distraction.

HI Stacy, Thanks for a sensible comment once again. I have all kinds of comments between these boards and the scary thing is to me, that some of these people 'vote'. Take care :)

Ain't that the gods' honest truth! Sigh.

Yes to both. Molly gave me my first tarot deck when I was about 16. I have owned them since and added another deck that I found meaningful to me.

Hi Jincks013, I think it's time I ran my Tarot again have not done it in a while. I still have a couple of decks, though I gave a couple to my oldest grand daughter. :)

but i'm not sure where i put them, not seen them in a while!!

i have a starter deck and a dragon deck.

one of my friends has about 6 decks.

it's possible to read ordinary playing cards too, my boyfriend often finds one lying in the street, picks it up and checks out its meaning. he found a Jack of Hearts right before he met me. apparently it means love with someone younger (i'm 6-7 years younger than him). he wrote his number on it and gave it to me, i still have it =)

Hi Anjirocks, Wow that is super. I was shown how to read a regular playing deck when I was living at home with grandparents. Then I found the Tarot and I liked it better. But regular decks is what a lot of folks used. Thanks for the comment. :)

No but somewhere in the house I have a set of runestones.

HI Tired, I love it. I have Nordic Runes but I have seen many other kinds. What kind do you have? tired love nordic runes kinds
  • raves +1   [-] by Tired Old Man
I haven't looked at them in years but if memory serves they looked like the ones in your picture here. I remember some of the symbols.
  • raves +2   [-] by Mollybdamned
HI Tired, I'll bet they are Nordic then. That set is very popular there are also Celtic Runes that are popular and then several other sets I am not familiar with. Thanks for the comment :)

When i used them I was surprised by how often they were pertinent. The descriptions were of necessity a little vague but even so they were pertinent more times than not. I finally put them away when I got married. My wife had a traditional Christian upbringing and my using them made her uncomfortable. I still have them though but after 23 years I am not sure where in the many boxes and drawers filled with years of life's accumulation of detritus they would be.

HI Tired, well maybe someday she won't feel that way. I have found the cards really depicted 78 different things that normally happen during a lifetime. The people I read for actually did the 'attaching' the behavior into their lifestyles in various ways. I never asked what the question was and never had anyone tell me I didn't answer the question. I just like to do it.
