To say that the amount we produce is insignificant just is not true. As a single source, humans are among the most significant of greenhouse gas contributors, and given that humans did not contribute significantly until very recently it would be a little ridiculous to dismiss our contribution in any climate predictions.
-
Then I guess we can just disagree. Your information is flawed, a single major volcanic eruption beats all the green house gas we can produce in a ten year period. The total volume of the atmospere of the planet vs our green house gas emission is a "ridiculously" low percentage. What is even more ridiculous is mankinds arrogance in what it thinks it can do or has done. Something as simple as looking at the floods through out the midwest and our laughable attempts to change the course of a river.
You are welcome to your media induced dream and opinions. As for me I have more respect for mother nature and her ability to effect us, rather than our ability to effect her. -
Answered I just don't know if Global Warming exists or not
In my opinion, global warming does not exist. I think that George W was sittin' and watching the National Geographic Channel on a hot day while a polar bear show was on and he saw the sun and decided they must need air conditioning. End of story. -
Answered No, Global Warming doesn't exist
The earth's weather goes in cycles. Global warming is a scare tactic designed to take away our civil liberties. What better way to control the population than to use such a ploy to enact legislation which denies us the right to travel, to use our vehicles, and on and on. If we are not vigilant, we will surrender our freedom in the name of the planet. -
what does the life of this planet have to do with your freedoms ending?this is not a new topic and has been around for at least 30yrs or more. human activity is not only destroying the air we breathe but the oceans that we need as part of the self cleansing that the planet goes through.

Answered Yes Global Warming does exist and it's primary contributor is man's carbon emissions
Well, I wouldn't say primary (though chances are it is), but green house gas emissions certainly aren't helping anyone. It's real enough, over years the average temperature of the world has risen at an alarming rate, so, yes it's real. -
Answered I just don't know if Global Warming exists or not
ive heard alot of arguments on both sides but i really dont kno if it exists or not...on the republican side of congress they have had arguments backed by hundreds of scientists that show that it is a normal climate change that happens every hundred or so years...bu then on the other side they have some great points too on how it is bcuz of the carbon emissions we let into the air everyday.... -
Answered Yes Global Warming does exist, but not man-made Global Warming
Earth goes through natural stages of warming and cooling. The vastness of the planet and the fact throughout the span of time far more carbon has been emitted into the atmosphere by Earth than by humans it makes me and scientists believe that carbon emissions by humans has nothing to do with global warming. -

Answered Yes Global Warming does exist and it's primary contributor is man's carbon emissions
I chose this one but I don't think it is global warming as much as it is the destruction of the rain forests that is causing problems with planet earth. In an article long ago the rain forests were described as the heart of the earth and I fully understood that and they are being cut down and destroyed. If they could somehow get even a small rain forest effect on Mars they feel like it would mushroom into another planet earth. There is definitely something up with our planet with all the natural disasters we are having, and yet they apparently are powerless to stop the destruction of our rain forests--cutting down a 300-year-old tree that could house the cure for cancer, to make just the right coffee table, upsetting. -
Answered Yes Global Warming does exist, but not man-made Global Warming
From what I know is that the earth goes through cycles of warming and cooling and man is being more then slightly presumptious to believe that we've had such an impact on the earth in such a relatively short time span. -
Answered Yes Global Warming does exist and it's primary contributor is man's carbon emissions
I know it does exist, whether it's caused by man, or not it's a problem, and needs to be addressed. I can't be certain if man is the cause but it sure contributes. -
Answered Yes Global Warming does exist, but not man-made Global Warming
From what i have read, it is my understanding that the earth has had many cycles. The cycle of warming and cooling is just another part of life on this great planet. Hence the ice ages and the warming up out of the ice ages. i guess the next question is are we on the verge of another ice age? -

Well, I dont mean to alarm anyone, but without the sun, this Earth would've been "Hasta la vista, baby" pretty long ago. The sun is a star; stars die. The energy we get from it is keeping us alive. And no, I'm not just saying thatcoastal areas are gunna flood; our atmosphere is getting weaker this very second. It can't handle that much carbon dioxide. We have to do all we can to just keep ourselves alive for more than 100 years. Sure, we'll all be dead by then... but think of our kids, and grandkids, walking to inner parts of the country, facing hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms with no rain, and it's all because of US! We most likely all know the rising of the oceans because of melting ice caps; that's not even half of it. We have to not just recycle, but do whatever we can to keep this planet the planet we all know and love, unless we're all fine living in outer space. If we had started worrying about this stuff in the 60s, we'd be in much better shape...
