Guitar Hero III vs. RockBand: Which is better?

In Guitar Hero III, the player uses a special guitar-shaped controller to simulate the playing of rock music by playing in-time to scrolling notes on-screen, similar to the previous versions. However, Guitar Hero III allows for online play, as well as multiple cooperative modes not previous available.

RockBand allows players to perform in virtual bands by providing up to four players with the ability to play three different peripherals modeled after music instruments (a guitar peripheral for lead guitar and bass guitar gameplay, a drum peripheral, and a microphone).

The question is, which is a better game?

guitar hero is better because it is alot easer to play for example

.has better strum.

Rock Band for me is too easy... I like a challenge and thats what GH3 does for me. On the other hand I like to play the drums on Rock Band which GH3 doesn't have. If I had to choose which one is better id have to say Guitar Hero 3!!!

ok i agree it's ok though Guitar Hero 4 world tour is almost here.....it includes 2 guitars, 1 microphone and 1 drum set though it's kinda easy to take your anger on the guitar on rockband.....................

Guitar Hero III is like the best! it doesn't matter if it doesn't have the drums or the microphone......it has more & better songs than Rockband does. Besides, Guitar Hero III rocks because you can choose your guitar & characters to rock out as!!!

Guitar Hero is the one that I have, so I don't really know. I just LOVE Guitar Hero. But Rock Band has more things to do. I like singing and I like the drums. I REALLY like guitar, too. But Guitar Hero has WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better songs. All of the guitar Heros have better songs. I have only seen the song list of Rockband. Those songs suck

I have not played Rock Band, but from what I've seen, it is more versatile than GH 3. Perhaps GH3 has a more interesting set of songs... but my expectation is that most would give RB the edge.
