OBAMA says "Dont worry about ALIENS LEARNING ENGLISH" "Make your kids learn SPANISH"? WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!! ANOTHER LIE POSTED!!!!?
Why are you posting an outright lie? I just listened again to the tape and Obama's exact words were. "I AGREE THAT IMMIGRANTS SHOULD LEARN ENGLISH. I AGREE WITH THAT." He goes on to say that American children should also be learning Spanish. Now, I do not think every child should know how to speak Spanish, but I do agree that we should all be enriched with a second language. And since George W. Bush never had any intention of closing the US/Mexican border, Spanish would be more useful to know in the US now than say, Russian, Italian or Mandarin Chinese.Why do you people insist on inciting hatred with LIES?

I'd say because we are knee jerk-but, I would be included in that "we" and I do verify things.
They know a strong candidate when they see one, they are afraid, very afraid and they feel it is their republican duty to follow party tactics! -

For some of these folks I'm sure the real problem is that they are closet racists who can't abide the possibility of having a black or even biracial president. For the rest (probably the majority of those who post these lies), they just take what comes from their Places of Truth -- Fox News, Rush Limbaugh and the like. Theirs is not to question why; theirs is just to repeat the lie. -

I'm not one of those doing it. I happen to know that Barack Obama is a strong supporter of language learning and of learning in general. I have heard him say that he thinks children should learn a second language, and I have heard him say that it is in the best interest of people living in the United States to learn English and of course he feels that they should try. I will take it a step further and say from my own point of view that I think it is as potentially beneficial to anyone living in the Americas to learn American Spanish as it is for anyone living in the USA to learn American English. -

This administration and their followers long ago gave up on any attempt to deal with reality, so they simply make it up as they go along. Sane people look at facts and form a conclusion. These bozos decide which conclusion they want and then make up false facts to support it. No reason to invade Iraq? No problem, let's just lie about WMDs. Can't make the effort to catch Osama Bin Laden? No problem, let's blame Saddam Hussein.

I only wish I had a kick in the ass to really learn spanish.... I grew up on the east coast... mexicans were exotic people you would see on HBO. I met one mexican and maybe two other latin americans, one of which I dated... She would make fun of me for not being able to speak espanol.... Now I live on the west coast.... and spanish would help me alot... I can say "Mota" which helps me out alot. -
I agree with you. I'm also a lifetime East Coaster, and actually there has always been a substantial spanish speaking population around here - not so much Mexican immigrants, but many Puerto Rican Americans, Dominicans, and so on. We are the only country in the world whose population is not generally bilingual, and that is unfortunate.

Apparently, something like 5% of Americans are bilingual versus 50-60% of the world's population.
I agree that immigrants should learn English, you come to a country and assimilate...but it wouldn't kill us to be a little more cultured either and learn other languages. -

Have you noticed that no one on the McCain side ever posts anything about their candidate? They don't tell each other or the masses about the wonderful thing that John McCain said today. They have to twist Obama's words, because their candidate is not worthy of a Presidential bid and he can't manage to make the news saying anything remotely positive. A wise person once said: If you don't have nothing nice to say, don't say nothing at all". If they did that they would all go silent. -
Yes, and I have posted several polls regarding issues, yet never get more than one person on their side of the political spectrum who even bothers to answer it. All they are capable of is lies, smears and slanders, yet they turn around and tell each other that it's those nasty liberals doing it!

Because McCain doesn't make stupid remarks which Obama does and then Obama retracts them 15 min later.
Don't vote for obama because of his color or his elegant speeches vote on his record. On the friends he chooses that want to bring down America. When are the Obamanites going to wake up? -
