A Yemeni child bride, Nujood Ali, was forced to marry a man twice her age when she was 10. Most parents in Yemen give their daughters away at a young age so they are assured for long-term. Nujood's husband promised not to touch her until age 20 but she was forced to sleep with him and was also beaten by him.
After being raped and beaten as a child bride, Nujood Ali fought and finally filed for divorce.

It is Child abuse! There really needs to be an International outcry, and concerted international effort to stamp out this type of abuse. I just couldn't imagine the mentality of anyone thinking it is OK to marry your child at 10!
A 10 year old child is in no way capable of being a wife! Only by 12 years old, the brain is capable of thinking logically, and that is still way too young to marry. My heart goes out to that precious, young Yemeni child. -
