Since I don't have one its easy for me to say they are. But overall the more certification you can get, the more options you will have in your career going forward. The amount of formal education is the yardstick prospective employers use to gauge your potential. Or so I'm told. -

will always work for the straight C student. The C student is far more
likely to take the risk, while the A student is usually more likely to
play by the rules and take the safe road. -

I think it really depends on the industry. The tech industry is probably far less likely to let an MBA, or lack of, affect their decision. Large financial firms on the other hand may be more picky.
In the end, having one isn't going to hurt your chances, but not having one might. -

I depends on what you're interests are and where you find yourself in your current position. There are plenty of examples on both sides of the fence that show an MBA increases wages earned, but does not necessarily guarantee success in business. There are more Fortune 500 CEO's without MBA's than with. On the other hand, those Fortune 500 companies hire a large amount of MBA's out of school employing them at very good wages.
An MBA is a tool. It is not built or required for all higher-level business positions nor does it necessarily benefit all business-minded individuals. There are many skill sets that you may acquire from an MBA, but that does not mean you will not be successful without those skills. Think of an MBA as a tool that can be used to catapult your career forward but that you may currently be in a position and company in which you could achieve the same goals in the same time frame.
An MBA can also be considered an insurance package by increasing the likelihood that you will be employed at a higher wage than you were prior.
Some instances where an MBA might be useful:
- If you are interested in Strategy, Finance or other fields that require or prefer MBA students. Keep in mind that the career services offered upon graduation make it far easier to acquire the job you may be interested in rather than cold calling and sending a resume to the HR department.

An MBA will help is some circumstances, but it is not necessary. I think it's a load of bollocks myself.
