Would you commit Robbery to feed your family?
You and your family are homeless and starving....would you resort to robbery or stealing to feed your family?-
Answered Yes
Only, and only if food became an economic lever to keep people down. I would NOT rob anyone with a threat of violence...it would be more like theft, as long as there is only glass between me and food, I will NEVER go hungry! Or in the event of a disaster such as Katrina...I had absolutely no problem with people looting groceries, (that were going to go bad anyway) during Katrina...now on the other hand I had a REAL problem with people looting electronics stores, fur coats, televisions, stereos....etc..... -
Answered Yes
This all goes back to survival of the fittest, like most things do, except this brings out our primitive nature. To not do whatever it takes to feed you or your family goes against the laws of nature and your gut instinct, I'm sure.
And also, most people would spare enough to keep your family from starving and not charge you for it. Why do you think there are so many homeless people? People who feel bad give them food for free or spare dollars they have. It's barely enough to survive, but it is.
Hell yeah I'd rob someone of food. How dare they not share what they have when someone's about to die from lack of it. Seriously. How heartless can you be? -
Answered No
Never. I don't think myself and my family would ever be "homeless and starving," but IF we were, I would get a freakin' job!
Probably as a waiter or something. That way, I would be able to bring money home (or to the cardboard box) every day.
I don't see how anybody could possible answer "tes" to this question. -
I hope for all of America's sake you are right. I hope I am just an alarmist when i see a possible depression on the horizon. I am just looking at prior events and saying it is a possibility. Black Tuesday occured in Pres. Clinton's administration era. The loose financial policies he fostered have come home to roost in Bears and Stearns bail out, and now it seems the government will also bail out the major mortgage companies as well.

There are soup kitchens and reachout programs to take advantage of. There is no need to resort to crime. Of course, that is my opinion. There is no right or wrong answer.
I can speak for myself and say that I would never resort to crime, but other people may. -
Answered Undecided
I don't think so. As long as I am in the USA, I wouldn't let my situation get that desperate. There are many, many, options that I would take advantage of before I found myself in that situation.
With that being said, I would and will do everything to protect and provide for my family, including shooting the SOB that is trying to rob me. -

I would grow my own food one way or anouther , in vacant lots or whever I could lay a few seeds, try to find a goat or cow for milk and go veggie.Alot better than stealing and it brings communities together when others are willing to work for a group cause.
