it's really not complicated, any child can do it. If he can't figure that out, how is he supposed to deal with actual problems????

    In this day and age if the President isn't computer savvy he's going to be left out of the loop on a lot of important information because that's how it flows now. Flunkies, paper copies, tv and newsprint are not going to keep him adequately informed.

    i mean, technically, being the president has nothing to do with knowing how to use a computer or the internet. some "older folks" just can't wrap their heads around it for some reason.

    Many very important people leave it to their staff to handle the computer work. There is a lot more to leading a country than there is to typing. It has nothing to do with age.

    If he can't do even the minimal amount of his own research relying solely on his people, especially the ones that are around him feeding him a constant flow of "yes's" will make him a puppet kinda like our current president. Remember the large caches of WMD that we were going to find?

    There's not much information on the internet that couldn't be gathered inside the walls of the White House. Gathering CIA confidential info etc couldn't have been found on the internet.

    Perhaps you never consulted your own computer to learn that we found many tons of yellow cake uranium in Iraq. McCain has dozens of experts doing the research for him. He does read his email after it has been sorted and all the garbage deleted.

    Rod: You are absolutely right! What do these people think the president is going to do, sit at the internet in the oval office researching a problem when it comes up, before he makes a decision? Most of the information on the internet is lies, anyway!

    The President needs to only be able to interpret the information that is given to him. Also, the fact that he doesn't use the Internet doesn't mean that he wouldn't be able to.

    I don't think this really matters.

    Frankly... I'd be a little more concerned with Barack Obama shooting e-mails back and forth with Scarlett Johansson in between checking his MySpace and Facebook pages...

    I'd rather the president be concerned with governing the country... instead of checking his matches on eHarmony.

    They certainly do have computers in nursing homes. Maybe you don't know that McCain's 96-year-old mother still travels all over the world and drives a car without problems. She thinks John is still young. I'm sure she knows him better than you do.

    Surely they may have computers for the staff in a nursing home, but the homes that I know of do not have for patient use. Johns mother is probably senile and John is still an old goat at 71! Maybe he can apply to Walmart to be a greeter.

    Since when should a president do things just because 5-year-olds do? I think you need to grow up and get an education about the qualifications McCain does have for leading this country. His opponent, on the other hand, is still wet behind the years and needs decades of public service before he is ready to seek to lead the greatest country on earth.
